Brandon Florida….
(The scene opens up inside of a office. Sitting at a desk is a man around mid 50’s wearing a suit. His hair sets nicely on his head as he turns a page. Reading the words on the page, he sighs and looks up across his desk. Kostoff sits there watching the man read.)
Kostoff: Everything ok?
(The camera pulls back to show the office. The window is open as the sun shines in on another hot Flroida day. The office is well furnished as you can see that Kostoff watches the man.)
Jeff: Yes it is, as usual Mr. Kostoff you have everything in order. It comes as a surprise I would have to admit.
Kostoff: Admit what?
(As it turns out, Kostoff’s lawyer leans back in his chair and takes a moment.)
Jeff: Admit that I am surprised it took you this long. You have been a part of many things in this city and across the state. But this…
Kostoff: Go ahead, my foundation.
Jeff: Yes your foundation.
(Jeff leans forward and looks at his client.)
Kostoff: Look man, I am not gonna take it with me. I want to do some good, I need to give back to the place I ca home. I have had alot of good fortune in my life…
Jeff: All but…
(Kostoff leans forward and glares at his lawyer. )
Kostoff: Stop.
(Jeff sighs and looks down at his desk.)
Jeff: Right. Right
Kostoff: My foundation will be in place for women in need. To help get them into a place to live. Shelter. Food. Too many women live in fear for what they might have to deal with. I hate it. I am doing this for those that can’t help themselves.
(Leaning back forward, Jeff looks into the eyes of Kostoff.)
Jeff: Look I know you are heading for this fight. I know you. You have been a client for years. I have gotten you out of alot of shit, you cannot change what has happened.
Kostoff: You are right. But I sure as fuck can and will make him pay. You seem to forget I want this more than life itself. I need this. I crave this. I will go into my yard and i will finish what was started.
Kostoff: It won’t change what has happened, but damn if it will feel good. Just make sure my foundation does what I want it to do. Make sure it runs and make sure everyone gets what they are supposed to.
(He gets up and walks out of the office. The lawyer sits and watches him leave. He shakes his head and gets up from his desk.)
Jeff: That poor bastard cannot let it lay. He can’t change the past, even tho he is gonna try to.
(Jeff walks to the front of his desk and sits down. He grabs the paperwork again and shakes his head. A tear forms in the corner of his eye and slowly begins to roll down his face as the scene fades to darkness.)
