What you saw………………..

Location: Houston, Texas: Toyota Center

Date: May 7, 2023

The Brian Hollywood vs Marvolo match has concluded and Hollywood has his hand raised in victory, but his moment of glory is brief as he eat the canvas following a Toxic Sting from the special guest official, Scott Stevens. A rare smile forms over the Hall of Famer’s face as his hometown crowd cheer his actions. Stevens continues his assault of Brian Hollywood and Marvolo laying both of them out with piledrivers before tossing them out of the ring like the trash they are. Stevens rolls out of the ring and grabs a chair and microphone before making his way back inside. The former world champion opens the chair and takes a seat before acknowledging the hometown crowd and thanking some individuals. As he gets to the end of the list and begins his speech about Lee Best to thank him his microphone is caught off in the middle. Stevens tries multiple times to finish by speaking into the announcer’s headset, but it is shut off. Hell, he even tries to talk into the camera, but it is sadly shifted to a commercial.

What you didn’t see………………..

Stevens continues to shout into the camera until the camera man holding it informs the Texan, they are on commercial causing Scott to shake his head.

“Why am I not surprised.”

Scott says aloud and the camera man shrugs before placing a finger to his ear.

“Sir, I have been informed to tell you, you must vacate the area within the next two minutes or else.”

The camera man tells Stevens who just chuckles.

“Ok.”

Scott replies before making his way over to Benny and Joe and grabbing a Sharpie marker from their table. Scott rolls back into the ring and makes his way over to the steel chair and collapses it. Stevens opens up the marker and begins to draw on the seat of the chair and when he seems satisfied with his artistry, he tosses the marker behind him and stands up to show the audience his masterpiece drawing a roar from the crowd.

HI LEE 😊

Stevens points to the skybox and slaps the seat a few times indicating his intentions before rolling out of the ring and heading up the ramp. The Texan disappears through the curtain and makes his way through gorilla and into the corridors of the backstage area heading towards the elevators. As he approaches the elevators, a platoon of EPU come out of nowhere and barricade the entrance to the elevators.

“We are under orders from Mr. Best to escort you from the arena since your services tonight have concluded.”

The EPU guard informs Scott who looks at them confused.

“I actually have a meeting with your boss, so….”

Stevens tries to push through the hoard of EPU, but they don’t move and the leader produces his baton and places it on the Texan’s chest.

“As you said earlier, “Move or Die.””

The guard repeats Stevens’ words and Scott simply chuckles before holding up a hand and slowly backing away.

“That’s what we thought.”

The guard says to Stevens who suddenly stops.

“Fuck it.”

Scott says aloud as he swings for the fences and lands the chair directly on top of the EPU leader and as a scene from a movie the guard hits the elevator with the chair wrapped around his neck and slides down.

The other EPU members look at their fallen leader and to each other.

“Now, before this goes any further, does anyone want to leave?”

Stevens asks nicely as he cracks his knuckles and the EPU all produce their batons.

“Guess we choose violence.”

Scott mutters before charging into the crowd of guards and putting on a fight like you’ve never seen. The Texan is holding his ground before a glancing blow to his temple causes Scott to drop to the knee and this gives the opportunity for the EPU to begin clubbing the Hall of Famer all over his body as he does his best to cover up. As the beating continues, Scott does his best to get to his feet but he can only get to a knee.

“”The Texas Bad Ass” getting a Texas size ass whooping!”

One of the EPU guards gloats allowing Scott to deliver a low blow and take his taser and begin to shock them to make the odds more even to the point where it’s just down to one left.

“Guess it’s just you and I left.”

Stevens says to the EPU agent as he breathes heavily and the EPU guard looks down at his fallen comrades. The agent begins to shed his tactical gear before picking up another baton. He kicks two batons over to Stevens and motions for him to pick them up. Scott nods and picks up the batons and they begin to fight like it was a scene from Rambo III. As the batons clang loudly in the hallway, the agent surprises Scott with a spin kick and when he tries for another kick Scott catches the kick and sends a kick of his own to the agent’s knee. The agent cries aloud in pain and the Texan full of venom raises the baton to strike the finishing blow, but stops himself. He shakes his head to regain control of himself before tossing the baton aside and heading towards the elevator. Scott presses the button and once the elevator arrives, he makes his way inside. Scott presses the button for the skyboxes and the doors slowly close. Scott leans against the door with his hand on his head. After a few moments the elevator stops and the doors open and Stevens makes his way out of the elevator and towards where Lee Best is staying. Stevens sees the door to the skybox and kicks it in.

“HONEY, I’M HOME!”

The Texan shouts as he walks inside and sees and empty room.

“Can’t hide forever.”

Stevens mutters to himself before turning to exit.

Later in the show………………..

At the conclusion of the Main Event, Scott Stevens appears alongside Scottywood, Bobbinette Carey and Charles De Lacy with Clay Byrd as they brawl with the members of the Final Alliance and the final image of Scott Stevens is brawling with Dan Ryan as the cameras fade to black as the EPU, building security, officials, and agents all come running down to separate the War Games competitors.

Hours after the show has ended………………..

The scene opens to Scott Stevens in his locker room wearing blue jeans and his Demi-God of HOW t-shirt packing up his belongs before he heads home for the night. As Scott gathers his final things to place in his bag, he begins to feel light headed. He leans against the locker and places his head against it. He slowly taps his head against the locker.

“Hold it together.”

Stevens mutters to himself before standing upright and letting out a heavy breath.

“I got this.”

Scott says to himself as he takes a moment to gain his composure before picking up his duffle bag and placing over his shoulder. He takes a few steps before he starts to lose balance again and he stumbles over the wooden bench and collides with the lockers. Scott lays there for a moment before he tries to get back up and falls chest first to the ground. Scott tries pushing up once again, but this time he starts coughing and vomiting with a little blood inside of the puke. Once he gets a moment from not puking his guts out, Scott reaches into his pocket and hits a few buttons on his iPhone and waits for the person he’s calling to answer.

“Hey. I need you.”

Scott barely gets out as he places his head on the ground.

“I’m still at the arena.”

Stevens informs the caller.

“No. I’m in my locker room.”

Stevens replies with a horrendous cough.

“See you when you get here.”

Stevens ends the call and lets the phone fall out of his hand as he continues to throw up.

Location: Houston, Texas: Medical Office of Dr. Douglas Ross

Date: May 8, 2023

The scene opens up to your typical, upscale, family medical facility and we see Scott Stevens sitting on a light green colored doctor’s chair playing a game on his phone. As Scott moves the paper underneath makes a crinkling noise much to the annoyance of the former world champion. Scott lifts his head up from his smart phone and looks towards the door.

“Where the hell is he?”

Scott asks himself as he has been waiting a very long time in the doctor’s office and he wants to know what the hell is going on. The Texan lets out a sigh before going back to his Texas Hold ‘Em game on his phone when there is a knock at the door and it slowly opens and a moderately athletic and tanned man about in his late forties or early fifties walks into the room. The man is wearing the standard white doctor’s coat with a blue button up and brown tie.

“What’s up doc?”

Stevens asks as the doctor walks in and the doctor shakes his head.

“Do you always have to ask that when you come in?”

The doctor turns towards Scott and a smirk forms over his lips as he responds.

“Yep.”

The doctor sighs as he makes his way to his computer and swipes his ID through it to log in before hitting some keys. After a few moments he quits typing and spins around in his chair and faces Scott.

“What’s up my friend is that you have to retire.”

Dr. Ross informs Scott, but he doesn’t seem to hear him or the announcement has caused enough shock that for the first time in his life he is speechless.

“Scott……did you hear me?”

Douglas asks as Stevens smirks before replying.

“Your bargaining posture is highly dubious, but very well. I will take your statement under advisement.”

Scott says nonchalantly as he rises from the chair and tries to head for the door, but Dr. Ross stops him from leaving.

“This is serious Scott.”

The doctor sternly states once again and motions for Scott to sick and Stevens does as he is told. Dr. Ross opens his folder and places two transparencies on a board before turning on a light to show that the transparencies are x-rays of Scott Stevens’ brain. Dr. Ross reaches into his pocket and pulls out a pen like object and hits a button on it and a red beam comes out of the pen.

“Do you see these?”

Dr. Ross turns his attention back towards Scott who doesn’t seem to be paying attention.

“SCOTT!”

The doctor shouts and he slams his fist on the desk drawing the attention of the former world champion as he slowly turns his head towards the doctor.

“Yes, I heard you.”

Scott says in a methodical tone.

“Then you know this is serious.”

The doctor states and Scott crosses his arms over his chest and leans back in the chair.

“Get on with it then.”

Stevens rudely replies as Dr. Ross uses his pen to highlight the black areas on the x-rays.

“Now you told me what happened to you last night when you got into it with the EPU and that you took a baton shot to the side of the head. You said it was a glancing blow, but it was enough to cause enough trauma to warrant that if you don’t stop wrestling immediately, you could have a serious brain aneurysm or worse, you could die in the ring if you continue.”

Dr. Ross informs Stevens with extreme warning, but Scott simply chuckles drawing the ire of the doctor.

“What is so fucking funny?”

The doctor asks as Scott rises from his seat and he does his best not to lose his balance as massages the bridge of his nose.

“I’m not retiring doc, so that’s the end of it.”

Scott tells the doctor and Dr. Ross immediately grabs his arm to prevent him from leaving.

“You need to hear this, Scott. You aren’t just going to brush this off like the last time because there may not be a next time. Because the next time you could be dead!”

Dr. Ross shouts causing rage and anger to boil in Stevens body as he knocks away the doctor’s arm and he grabs him by the collar and shoves him against the wall.

“You need to hear this doc……”

Stevens says as he brings him forward before shoving him against the wall even harder.

“I’m not fucking retiring! I’m never retiring!”

Stevens shouts as he pulls him nearby.

“Do you understand?”

Scott asks as the doctor shakes his head.

“You would die in that ring?

Ross’ question seems to anger Scott even further as he throws him to the ground as he turns away.

“I asked you; would you die in that ring?”

Ross asks once again as he gets to his feet and straightens up his clothes as Scott slowly turns his head to the side.

“You don’t understand.”

The Texan grits his teeth and replies with a stern tone.

“Then explain it to me.”

The doctor demands as Scott shakes his head.

“This isn’t about the glory or personal accolades because those things are insignificant to why I continue to do what I do when others have told me to hang it up.”

Stevens says almost in a shameful tone.

“It can’t be worth risking your life.”

Dr. Ross reiterates the importance of retiring and Stevens shakes his head no.

“I can’t. I’m sorry.”

Scott replies as he heads for the door, but the doctor cuts him off and pushes him back.

“We’ve known each other a long time and I’ve never heard you be so stupid especially when it comes to harming your family.”

That statement seems to have triggered the Texan as he balls up his fist and throws a punch at the wall causing a small hole to form. Stevens looks at the hole and lowers his head in shame.

“I’m doing this for them Doug.”

Stevens tells the doctor as he takes as seat in one of the chairs and placing his head in his hands.

“I don’t understand.”

The doctor says to Scott who slowly looks up.

“I’m broke Doug.”

Stevens informs the doctor who has a confused look.

“I know. I know. But the truth is I am legitimately broke. From bad investment deals and pissing away my 401K on gambling I’m barely keeping things afloat.”

Stevens begins to tear up.

“Hell, I even put up my kids college tuitions on the HOG as a final cash out following my impending victory at War Games.”

Stevens mutters causing Dr. Ross to shake his head in disbelief.

“You, what?!?!?!?!?”

Doug can’t believe what he heard and Scott rises from his feet wiping his eyes.

“Nothing. Forget about it.”

Scott replies as he takes a moment to regain his composure.

“Now, are you going to write me a prescription for the pain and nausea or not?”

Stevens asks in an almost demanding tone and Dr. Ross shakes his head.

“I’m sorry Scott, but I cannot in good conscious help lead you down a path that could potentially kill you.”

Doug informs Scott and he just sighs.

“I’m sorry too when I inform you that your services with the Stevens family is no longer required and we wish you the best in your future endeavors.”

Scott tells Dr. Ross he is fired before exiting the room.
