Just when you think you’re close to accomplishing things, the rug gets right yanked from underneath you.
Hollywood appears to be seen laying on the couch as the scene opens up. He looks semi relaxed, but at the same time, looks completely restless. The nights have been longer and longer for Hollywood and the days seemed to have collided with other days. He was just….tired. Burnt out from running from Gerald Reeves and Buck Wringley. The CIA and the California Police who have been monitoring a lot of Hollywood’s movements as of late.
Brian Hollywood: “I mean…you don’t have to say anything for me being back here.”
It has become officially apparent that Hollywood was back in a place he was in just a few days ago. Sitting across from Hollywood? His old psych doctor Dr. WeathersBee.
Dr. Weathersbee: “So why do you feel like you had to come back here? It’s a big step Mr. Hollywood and you could have painted me surprise to be back here.”
Brian Hollywood: “What do you mean paint yourself?”
Dr. Weathersbee: “I meant no disrespect, Brian. I’m merely saying it’s a step in the right direction to help you cope with every problem that you’ve had. I know things have been rough for you as late…Gerard and Buckley just want what’s best for you.”
Hollywood shakes his head in disbelief.
Brian Hollywood: “I don’t know why I even bothered to come back here. It’s clear I need help, doc. I’ve got a match this weekend and it’s obvious that I’m not doing something right no matter how hard I try.”
Dr. Weathersbee: “So what are you going to do about it?”
Brian Hollywood: “I’m going to show up like I always do…hell, I’m going to show up with no expectations at all because here lately? I’ve had nothing but expectations and actually wanting to win for a change again. You know…make a difference.”
Dr. Weathersbee: “You can make a difference Mr. Hollywood…you just have to be patient about it.”
Hollywood shakes his head further in denial…he felt like this, along with everything else he’s tried, simply wasn’t working.
Brian Hollywood: “Clearly I’m not making any progress….I’m sorry doc…maybe I shouldn’t have even come here…”
Hollywood shakes his head in frustration as he stands up and leaves having no more answers to his recent plunge as the scene slowly fades to black..
