Cheers rain down as Darkwing has his hand raised. Jatt stands over a fallen opponent as booing is heard. These are moments and times that will forever be etched into the history of HOW and what these 4 men have done for the company and for the business.)
(When people talk about the who are the greatest to ever step into the ring here, these 4 top most all lists for different reasons and different times. This week, this week is a match that has been in the works for a very long time. And this week, these 4 warriors are going to lace the boots up, tape up the fingers, and get into that ring to put a end to a match that has been waited for by all.)
Kostoff: That was cute.
[His words echo as the camera comes to life. He is standing in a empty building. Probably one that HOW has had a show in before. He slowly walks to a set of double doors and pushes through them.]
Kostoff: We’ve been here before. HOW has been here and we…as usual..tore the roof off the building. That was never the issue. Every city we stopped in for a show, we gave that city a show.
[Making his way down the hallway, he stops as he sees a old HOW flyer on the wall.]
Kostoff: Jesus how fucking old is this one?
[The camera focuses on the flyer as the faded letters show LOD versus Best Alliance. He looks at it for a few more moments and let’s out a long sigh.]
Kostoff: Man, those were from good times. Not saying that today’s landscape is bad, just those days had a different…..feeling.
Kostoff: Not sure if at anytime there was more of a blood fued that fueled this company and put all of us on the map.
[He starts to walk more down the hallway.]
Kostoff: Looking back on all that we have done and accomplished here, what other way could this have come? I mean, me and Duck? Jatt and Mike?
[He smiles at the thought of the match.]
Kostoff: I can say, that I have had great matches with each one of these men. Duck and I were part of a faction that was the only group that stood their ground against The Best Alliance. We went into wars against them week in and week out for years.
Kostoff: Jatt and Mike…the flag wavers for the Best Alliance. Two of most talented and tuffest mother fuckers I have ever been in a ring against.
[He stops and looks at the ground]
Kostoff: I don’t know if they will say the same. In all fairness, it doesn’t matter. We all know that we have put each other through hell, we have all walked that aisle and stared into each other’s eyes. We have all laid it all on the line here.
Kostoff: Darkwing and I were a team that was damn near unstoppable. The LOD was the perfect spoil to the Best Alliance. I owe alot to my career to Darkwing. His charisma and ability are second to none.
Kostoff: Jatt. Jatt is a man you love to hate. His words are amazing. When he speaks, he just grabs you by your shirt and pulls you in. As great as he is in the ring, he is a good man out of it. The shit with his daughter, it happens. I get it.
[Looking up, he seems a little misty eyed as he walks to a wall and leans his shoulder up against it.]
Kostoff: Mike. What can be said about the man? Hands down, the tuffest bastard I have ever been in the ring against. He can brawl. He can wrestle. Shit. The guy can do it all, and has. Let’s be fair here. Now here is going to be the one thing that might have people freak or shake their heads…I respect the fuck out of Mike. Our Deathmatch and our Prision Yard match…you can’t even begin to understand how fucking amazing those two matches were to be a part of.
[He pushes off the wall and makes his way farther down to another set of doors. Pushing through them he exists the building in the morning sun.
Kostoff: When I talk about this upcoming match, it brings a smile to my face. I respect everyone that has stepped into the ring here at HOW, past and current. The respect I have for these 3 men, can’t be measured.
Kostoff: I know folks, not my typical promo where I rant and rave and cuss and go all Kostoff. This one is different because of the meaning of it and what it means to the four of us. I do respect these men and to be able to one more time lace them up against them, well it is the perfect send off.
Kostoff: I’ll see you guys soon…
[He walks across the parking lot and gets into a waiting car. The car takes off into the morning sun as the scene fades to darkness
