War Games 2021
Event Date: June 6, 2021
HOFC Championship Match
The HOTv logo gives way and we cut to a live overhead shot over the USS Octane as the feed for War Games officially begins.
The feed circles the ship until we slowly zoom in to deck level.
The lights are low surrounding the octagon, as the camera pans around the crowd amassed high atop the USS Octane. Politely seated around all sides of the cage, the Japanese HOW fanbase eagerly await the beginning of the contest. As final safety checks are made along the octagon, we cut down to Benny and Joe at the desk, as they introduce the first of two matches here tonight.
Joe Hoffman: Welcome to the annual summertime High Octane Wrestling PPV….WAR GAMES!!! I am Joe Hoffman and as always I am joined by Benny Newell.
Benny Newell: Those with thin skin will be tested tonight. There have been rumors swirling all day today that tonight is the last ever War Games and potentially the last HOW PPV and if that is the case I plan on going out in the blaze of glory that Lee has been mentioning for years.
Joe Hoffman: There is no denying that those rumors are out there. There is truly only one man that knows that for sure and that is Lee Best. We only have two matches tonight and both have huge implications in the careers of everyone that is participating tonight.
Benny Newell: No fucking shit. It is War Games. People might be more sensitive than ever here in the world of High Octane so those folks better just turn their fucking heads. Tonight there will be blood….tonight there will be potential deaths….and I am not talking about all the semen that LT has been swallowing all day…..
Joe Hoffman: Ok enough of that…….first we have action on the USS Octane and then we end the night with a solitary 18 man match inside the Tokyo Dome. But before we get there careers are on the line here first in the HOFC Championship match between Michael Lee Best, the champion, and his challenger Scott Stevens. When you think about Michael Best’s most heated HOW rivalries of all-time, you probably think about Maximilian Kael. You might remember his marathon matches with Rhys Townsend, or his infamous best of three with John Sektor. You might even think about the rivalry that spawned them all– the relationship between the Son of God and the GOD of HOW, Lee Best himself. But someone you might not think about right away… is Scott Stevens.
Benny Newell: It’s not a rivalry, Joe. Lee versus Kostoff. Max versus Jatt. Lindsay Troy versus turning back into a pumpkin at exactly midnight. These are rivalries. Mike Best has been stuffing Scott Stevens into lockers for a fuckin’ decade, Joe. It’s not a rivalry. It’s therapy that Stevens is gonna need before he can get boners again.
Joe Hoffman: I think you have an inaccurate memory of history, Benny. While perhaps his stock has been on the decline, Scott Stevens was recruited to HOW in 2012 by Michael Lee Best himself, as an up and coming prospect from Legacy Pro Wrestling. Scott Stevens is a two time HOW World Champion, and one of those victories was a clean win over Michael Lee Best himself, in the main event of ICONIC.
Benny Newell: Yeah, ICONIC 2015. Fucking six years ago. This is the best we can find for Mike Best, God of HOFC? I can’t listen to you hype this fucking match. This isn’t a title match, it’s a mercy killing.
Joe Hoffman: Like it or not, Benny, Scott Stevens has had a storied HOW career. We’re talking multiple reigns as ICON Champion, LSD Champion, Tag Team Champions, World Championships… he won a War Games match, Benny. Several years of bad fortune may have muddied his legacy, but Scott Stevens and Michael Lee Best has been a hell of a rivalry for neary ten full years. Tonight is the culmination of a decade, and only one man will walk out of that cage with not only the HOFC Championship, but with his career intact.
Benny Newell: It’s not a retirement match. It’s a funeral.
Joe Hoffman: We shall see, Benny. From where I’m sitting, tonight is an opportunity for Scott Stevens to overcome ten years of adversity in HOW and cash in on the biggest win of his career. And if he can’t? Well, then it’s all over… but that sure as hell seems like the right motivation to turn things around, doesn’t it?
Benny Newell: Mike Best is unstoppable. He comes from great genetic stock. Hasn’t been beaten in HOFC in over ten years. Yawn, Hoffman. Don’t need to sell it. They already bought the PPV.
As Benny and Joe argue it out, “A Country Boy Can Survive” by Hank Williams Jr. begins to blast over the overpowered sound system on the USS Octane. The otherwise quiet, polite crowd in Tokyo suddenly gets on their feet, absolutely losing their minds for the veteran Scott Stevens as he steps out from behind the HOFC entrance area wearing a seemingly familiar attire. Attired in trunks and a vest emblazoned with the colors of his home state, Stevens is wearing the attire that he first wore in HOW nearly ten years ago.
Benny Newell: Holy. Fucking. Shit.
Joe Hoffman: …is Scott Stevens a legend in Japan?!
The crowd is losing their mind, screaming for Scott Stevens in a fashion that is absolutely not ironic. For his part, Stevens doesn’t look surprised in the slightest– a wry smirk appears in the corner of his mouth, as he makes his way down to the octagon and steps inside of the cage.
Benny Newell: This doesn’t make any sense! Why Stevens? WHY IS HE BIG IN JAPAN?
Joe Hoffman: Scott Stevens is a star all over the world! HOW might not treat him with a lot of respect, but Scott Stevens has held over forty championships across the globe. There’s a reason Lee Best booked this match as only one of two on the War Games card– whether you like it or not, this is a big match.
The crowd is roaring, as Stevens takes off his vintage vest and tosses it over the cage and out into the crowd. Fans respectfully but frantically lobby to grab hold of it, as Stevens takes his corner and begins talking to the other Stevens in this match– referee Rick Stevens, veteran HOFC official.
HALLLLLLELUJAH!
HALLLLLLELUJAH!
HALLELUJAH! HALLELUJAH!
HALLEEEEEEEELUJAH!
The roar of the crowd is stifled, overpowered by the chorus of angels that introduce us to Hanzel und Gretyl’s “HELLAlujah”. A fog rolls out from behind the HOFC entrance, the arrogance and pageantry in full effect as HOW HOFC Champion Michael Lee Best makes his way out from behind the curtain, with the HOFC Championship over his shoulder.
He steps slowly out from behind the curtain, his expression cold as he stares down at the cage and raises the title high over his head with one arm.
Joe Hoffman: It’s impossible to argue that on paper, this is about the most advantage a champion can have. Michael Best is fighting in his favored match type, in a division he has not lost a match in for over ten years. He has arguably torn through nearly every competitor that he has faced since the return of HOFC, and he fights at his best with everything to lose.
Benny Newell: Don’t bother with “buts”, Hoffman. That’s the fucking GOAT. Greatest of all time, isn’t even worth arguing about.
Joe Hoffman: Hard to argue, Benny. He has the credentials. But Scott Stevens has beaten him before on a grand stage, and with less on the line– tonight, these men fight for EVERYTHING, and they will stop… at nothing.
Michael quietly enters the cage, giving the HOFC Championship a quick little kiss and handing it off to Rick Stevens. He walks past Stevens, giving him a venomous side-eye as the champion takes his corner and begins stretching his knees out to prepare for the fight.
Rick holds the belt high into the air, before passing the belt out and allowing the cage to be locked up right. Once both men have nodded their head and confirmed that they’re ready to fight, Rick Stevens calls for the bell– he sets the five minute timer, and this one is underway.
DING DING
The first round begins, as both men take a few steps out of their respective corners. They stop dead a few feet from one another, though, as Stevens and Best lock eyes in the center of the cage.
Joe Hoffman: A calm before the storm.
Benny Newell: Mike is giving Stevens a last few minutes to enjoy being a HOW wrestler before he stamps that pink slip with a knee, Joe. Don’t read into it.
Slowly, the two competitors begin to circle. Best feigns a right hand and Stevens guards, but immediately the champion laughs and points at his own head, letting everyone know that he’s playing games with Stevens. This gets a boo from the crowd, albeit a polite one. Stevens shakes his head and raises his arm into the air, taking a step back himsel. Michael scowls, as he hears the crowd lose their GODDAMNED MINDS for Japanese wrestling legend Scott Stevens.
*CRACK!*
In a sudden loss of composure, Michael Best rails Stevens in the side of the head with a wild open hand, staggering the challenger as the crowd boos much louder this time. The champion quickly takes a defensive step backward, though, looking uncomfortable with having lost his cool in the moment.
Joe Hoffman: That. That’s where this rivalry has always existed, Benny. For all of his accomplishments, and championships, and accolades, Michael Lee Best has never been able to entirely overcome Scott Stevens. Never truly gotten over that loss from 2015– he might be the only man who thinks about it more than Stevens himself. For as much as Michael likes to pretend to be in control out there, something about Scott Stevens makes him lose his composure. And that’s how you lose championships.
Benny Newell: It’s also how you lose your fucking life, Joe. Don’t forget, the Son of God promised a murder here tonight.
Shaking off the blow, Stevens glances at the round timer– they’ve already wasted two minutes into the first round trying to establish mental dominance. The Scorpion decides not to waste any more time, and he charges the champion in a bull rush. Best is expecting a barrage of fists– it’s surprising when Stevens shoots for the legs, and he takes the champion to the ground with relative ease, since he wasn’t ready for it!
The crowd roars, as Stevens begins to bring down blows to the grounded Michael Best, smashing elbows into the protective shell of the champion’s arms. Best rolls to his side, trying to defend against the blows, but Stevens isn’t quitting– he grabs hold of one of Michael’s arms, trying to grab a kimura and end this one in the first round!
Joe Hoffman: Scott Stevens taking control early, and keeping it– the champion likes to keep things standing out there, and he couldn’t have seen this coming.
Benny Newell: Dipshit Texas Brawler knows a fucking DOUBLE LEG? This is bullshit. This should have been given to the defense during disclosures. WE WEREN’T PREPARED! MISTRIAL!
Michael brings a stiff forearm down onto the bridge of Stevens’ nose, and then another. He’s trying to knock Stevens silly before he can lock in the kimura, which would effectively force him to either tap out or break his own arm. He brings down a third forearm, and this one at least shakes the Scorpion loose– Michael uses his legs to push himself away, and then scrambles back up to his feet and backs up into the cage for balance.
There is the slightest nod of respect from the champion, but it is quickly replaced by a look of utter rage as Stevens stares back at him. Stevens doesn’t give him a moment to breathe, charging the cage— this time when he shoots for the legs, however, the champion is ready. Michael Best soccer kicks him in the center of the face about as hard as you can kick a man, sending him sprawling to the canvas in a heap!
Joe Hoffman: JESUS!
Benny Newell: It’s Kneesus, Joe. Get it right. This is over.
Stevens tries to pull himself up on adrenaline alone, but struggles as he’s disoriented from being railed directly in the face. He scampers onto shaky legs, but still throws a wild clothesline at the champion, trying to catch him off guard.
*CRACK!*
Stevens collides with the cage, smashing his hand against the steel, as Best sidesteps the telegraphed attack and shakes his head. He puts a boot to the back of Stevens’ knee, taking him down to a kneeling position as the HOFC Champion takes a few steps backward… the crowd buzzes, as he lines up for the knee that ends them all.
With a battlecry, Michael charges forward, but he’s suddenly stopped by Rick Stevens as the bell rings! The first round is over!
DING DING DING!
The crowd can’t believe it, but neither can Michael Lee Best! He argues with Rick Stevens, his longtime friend, as the old school ref tells him that he needs to take his corner. The champion doesn’t seem content with this, though, and he suddenly shoves Rick aside. Charging anyway, Best’s knee cracks directly into the back of Stevens’ skull, sending him face first into the cage at high velocity. I Kneed A Hero connects in a big way, and Stevens is fucking OUT.
Joe Hoffman: OH MY GOD! What in the hell did Michael Best just do? The round was over! Stevens was defenseless! I know there are no disqualifications in HOFC, but Jesus Christ, maybe there ought to be! How are we supposed to continue this fight?
Benny Newell: Oh come on, Joe… this is probably a trap he set. He WANTED Mike to murder him from behind and possibly break his neck. It was his PLAN!
The crowd is quiet, looking on with concern as Michael finally takes his corner. Trainers and medical staff are checking on Stevens, looking to see if he can continue, as Michael ices his shoulder where Stevens tried to grab the kimura in the first round. Stevens finally manages to get to his feet with assistance, but he can barely stand in his own corner as Rick Stevens speaks with the medical staff about their options.
Joe Hoffman: Stevens looks like he wants to continue, but I just don’t see it happening, folks. Even in a retirement match, you have to consider long term effects, and that was a hell of a shot to the back of the skull. Even if Stevens could manage to come back from that, we might be looking at significant injury here.
Benny Newell: Don’t turn this into some “Stevens is so tough, what a hero” Joe Hoffman speech. He’s too dumb to know he’s beat, don’t humor him. People humoring Scott Stevens is how we got here today.
Despite the advice of the medical staff, and the urgings of Rick Stevens, the challenger assures them that he’s ready to compete and aggressively shoves away the help that he’s receiving. He yells at Rick to put five more minutes on the clock, and a hesitant referee calls for the bell to begin round two.
DING DING
Scott Stevens nearly falls out of the corner as the second round begins, still on wobbly legs from what is definitely a severe concussion. The wild Texan might be shaken, but he’s still ready to fight. He beckons for the champion to come at him again, and now the crowd is even louder behind him.
Mike Best: You’re done, Scott.
The words sound concerned, but the smirk on the face of the champion tell a different story. He slowly saunters toward Stevens, urging him to throw a punch.
Stevens swings wildly, but can barely stay on his feet. He’s fucking hurt. Michael easily dodges the punch, and gives Stevens a boot to the stomach that sends his back into the cage again. The crowd boos, but Stevens charges in with a big right hand…
…and Michael dodges it again.
This time, Michael takes a hard step back, and breaks his MMA-only protocol for seemingly the first time in his HOFC career. He shuffles forward and nails a superkick right under the jaw of Scott Stevens, bringing an even BIGGER boo from the crowd as he uses Stevens’ own signature move against him.
Mike Best: REMEMBER THE ALAMO, BITCH.
Stevens hits the canvas, splayed out like a piece of meat, as Rick Stevens begins the count.
1…..
2…….
3………
Stevens rolls to one side, but he’s clearly not with us right now. He’s concussed, and a dead-on-target superkick didn’t help matters.
4………..
5…………..
Stevens pushes himself up to an arm, trying to save himself a second round knockout in the single most important match of his life.
6……………..
7………………….
Joe Hoffman: Stevens is almost up… I can’t decide if I want him to get up, or stay down and protect himself, folks.
Benny Newell: Fuck it, Scott. GET UP. It ends when you quit breathing.
8………………………
Stevens makes it to two feet, albeit wobbly ones. Rick Stevens declares the match still live, as a livid looking HOFC Champion stares on from his corner. He roars in anger, charging for Stevens with a vicious clothesline from behind, but the roaring scream tips off the challenger– Stevens throws his body out of the way, narrowly avoiding the maneuver, and sending Mike Best face first into the steel cage!
Michael stumbles backward, and Stevens grabs hold of him in reverse DDT position from behind. Scott drives the head of the champion into the canvas, and the crowd EXPLODES!
Joe Hoffman: Scorpion Death Drop! You gotta be kidding me! HOLY SHIT! We have a match!
Benny Newell: GET UP, HOLY FUCK, NO NO NO NO NO!
Scott Stevens stumbles back to his feet, feeding on the energy from the crowd as he finally manages to swing the momentum back in his favor. The HOW World Champion slowly pulls himself back up off the ground, but Stevens isn’t finished yet. He adjusts his knee brace, and suddenly charges for the champion once he’s back to a kneel, smashing into the side of MIchael’s head with a Knee Trembler of his own!
Scott Stevens: DON’T MESS WITH TEXAS…. Bitch.
Michael slumps into the ground, as Rick Stevens makes the count.
1….
2……
Michael grabs the leg of Rick Stevens, yelling at him for help getting up. Obviously the referee can’t comply.
3………
4………….
The champion grits his teeth, rolling to the cage and using the steel to pull himself up slowly.
5……………..
6…………………..
Getting back to his feet, Michael stares daggers into the face of Scott Stevens. He starts jawing off at the challenger, daring him to come try that again. Stevens shows no fear, stepping toward the champion, and now both men are nose to nose as the crowd is ramping up quite a bit beyond just casual observers!
Joe Hoffman: A scare for the champion, as Scott Stevens pulls yet another old trick out of the bag to try and stay alive out there. Still convinced this is going to be a one-sided contest, Benny? This is only round two!
Benny Newell: Stevens eats the knee in round three, clean knockout. Bet me a million dollars, Joe. I have successfully called the finish to every one of Mike’s matches for a YEAR.
Stevens throws a right hand, but Best throws one back. And another. And another. The crowd gets louder for each exchange, and now both men are throwing brutal, stiff punches that leave them standing on adrenaline alone! Best shoves Stevens backward into the cage, holding him in the clinch as he takes a moment to catch his breath.
Stevens struggles to get free, but a stiff knee to the midsection stops him in his tracks. He doubles over, and now trapped in a cage clinch, Michael begins to drive brutal looking lifting knee strikes to the skull. Stevens can’t escape, and the world begins to go dark as Rick Stevens leans in to check for consciousness.
DING DING DING!
Joe Hoffman: STEVENS SURVIVES THE ROUND! THAT’S THE BELL!
Benny Newell: Why does this fucking moron NEVER QUIT?!
Rick Stevens steps in and tries to separate the two men, as trainers pour into the cage to put distance between them. It takes some effort to pry them apart, but a raging Michael Best is forced back to his corner as Stevens is attended to on the other side of the ring. A gash has opened in his forehead, leaving the Texan a mask of crimson.
Somehow, the rush of blood only seems to fuel Stevens, who wipes a bit away from his lip and stands up straight in his corner. The third round is going to be all Stevens, and business is finally picking up as the crowd joins him in a warcry.
DING DING.
Straight out of the bell, Stevens can barely see through the mask still pouring down his face. He doesn’t care, though– he lets out a murderous howl as he drives for the HOW HOFC Champion, colliding as hard as he can with–
Benny Newell: I KNEED A HERO, MOTHERFUCKER!
Joe Hoffman: ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! NO WAY!
Kicking off the cage, the HOFC Champion is ready for the half-blind charge of the challenger, and he collides his Hall of Fame knee directly into the temple of Scott Stevens. The air seems to collectively leave every lung in the arena, as Stevens slumps lifelessly to the mat, laid out completely unconscious.
Rick Stevens goes through the motions of a count, but it’s over.
DING DING DING!
The crowd is in awe, shocked by the surprise finish as Michael snatches the HOFC Championship and holds it high above his head. The USS Octane is eerily quiet as staff attend to Scott Stevens, who has just been officially retired from HOW by his longtime nemesis.
Winner and STILL HOFC Champion: Michael Lee Best via knockout, in round three.
We get a final overhead shot of the champion aboard the USS Octane as we cut away.
48
We cut to inside the Tokyo Dome and the backstage area in the back to see… a High Octane backdrop curtain, one typically draped behind Blaire Moise and the wrestler she’s-
Blaire Moise: Uh, over here?
The view quickly pans right to reveal the beautiful backstage interviewer standing next to an exhausted, bruised up, less doughy Dan Ryan. The Dooze, in a black T-shirt with 97RED text across the chest reading ‘Lee’s Bitch’ with what looks like a sticker applied beneath ‘Cancer’s, too’, gives Blaire a quick nod of the head to indicate he’s ready to roll.
Blaire Moise: Are we on?
You can tell the crew confirmed from your view moving up and down a couple times. Moise rolls her eyes before quickly putting on her camera face.
Blaire Moise: Alright, everyone, welcome to the back for an exclusive interview with an old, familiar face here at High Octane wrestling… Doozer!
Crickets.
Blaire Moise: So let’s get right to the elephant in the room. When you returned at the end of Refueled Sixty-Three, it’s safe to assume, you surprised us all with a vicious attack against a long time friend and fellow, former eGG Bandit, The Beautiful Bobby Dean.
Doozer’s blue eyes drop as he slowly nods in acknowledgement.
Blaire Moise: Now, I think we were all smart enough to figure that it was part of Lee’s stipulation for you to return to the ring, but the question must be asked… at the age of?
The Dooze spits a high velocity loogie to his left, then mumbles.
Doozer: Forty-eight.
Blaire Moise: Thank you. So, at your age, and with your… history… at High Octane-
A snear leaves the old bull’s face as soon as it appears. Blair continues as if it went unnoticed.
Blaire Moise: – why did you decide to try and return? And at the potential cost of one of the few friends you have left?
The smallest of smirks growing from the side of her mouth after that last question indicates that she did, indeed, notice. Doozer grins, almost as if accepting the dig.
Doozer: Well, Blaire. First off, I’d like to thank you for this opportunity-
The High Octane backstage talent is quick to correct.
Blaire Moise: Oh, I didn’t want this interview. Not even for the airtime. You know why we’re here.
The former eGG Bandit puts on that contemplative frown, while once again nodding submissively and taking the hit.
Doozer: Either way, I appreciate the time. To be honest, I’m just honored to be here in Tokyo tonight with the rest of the High Octane talent. And most importantly, their loyal fans.
Blaire rolls her eyes. Doozer continues, as if he didn’t notice.
Doozer: I guess, to answer your question about why even try to return… well, there’s a lotta reasons, really. And to be honest, the fine following of the High Octane brand, and hopefully some remaining Octabandits out there especially, will just have to watch to and find out. But one thing I can say is, I might be Forty-eight… but I still have plenty to prove. And if I gotta take my lumps to get to where I want to be, I’m finally at a place where I can do just that. You just won’t see me on my knees for a job.
The quick wink The Dooze shoots Blaire would indicate that he did, indeed, notice.
She opens her mouth to respond, but Doozer cuts Moise off before she can make a sound.
Doozer: Ehhhhhhhhhxcept-
A smile slowly grows across the Boston Bruiser’s face as he throws his large right arm over Blaire’s shoulders. Thoroughly creeped, Moise sniffs the air around her a couple times with her face scrunched up.
Doozer: When I have to clean the shitter after Harrison uses it. Not sure he’s been swillin’ down that milk he hocks or what, but dude can’t seem to hit the bowl.
Blaire, squirming out of disgust, twirls her way out from under Doozer’s arm.
Doozer: Ohhhh, yeah… didn’t have time to wash, sorry.
That smirk.
Blaire Moise: Let’s just get this over with, already. Any last words?
The old ring vet nods, this time much more determined.
Doozer: You know, Blaire? I might have grown up in good, ol’ Mass. But I always loved visiting Maine when I was a kid. And I always remembered a buddy of mine would say something like, “I’d rathah feel bad in Maine than feel good anywheah else.”…
Blaire shakes her head, as if to ask “so what?” The Dooze shrugs, then grabs the mic from Moise and stares into the feed with a soft smile.
Doozer: I guess I’d rather lose in HOW, than win anywhere else.
He points into the camera.
Doozer: Now enough about this old Loozer. Back to the show and hope all those watching enjoy the hell outta it. Best of luck to everyone fighting for all that gold up for grabs! Even Farthington.
Pucker.
Kiss.
Doozer: That’s for you, buddy.
Mic drop.
Blaire shakes her head, bending at the knees to reach the microphone.
Blaire Moise: Just cut it already.
We cut to a quick advert..
CONGRATS TO THE MAY WRESTLER OF THE MONTH……ARTHUR PLEASANT
War Games Match
We are back inside the Tokyo dome after the Wrestler of the Month announcement and we see that Joe and Benny have been set up on the entrance ramp as the massive War Games set up has taken up the majority of the space on the floor of the dome.
Joe Hoffman: Well here we go Benny. It is time. 18 wrestlers. 9 per team. 3 championships on the line. 2 rings. 1 massive cell. Let’s go!!!
Benny Newell: Lots of numbers there Joe and to be honest no one gives two fucks about any of those. It all comes down to the team that wins the match. Will there be a sole survivor? Will the cumbucket or Lee be forced to pick a champion if more than one survivor?
Joe Hoffman: That is a great point there Benny…and a nice set up for me to go over the rules here folks.
Joe pauses as Benny motions for him to go ahead and he pulls out a brand new unopened bottle of Jack Daniels. Joe can only nod as it just would not be a HOW PPV or a War Games match without Benny and Jack.
Joe Hoffman: Well if this is in fact the last War Games match Lee has made sure that it’s the most unique set up to date. We will start tonight with Clay Byrd entering first and the LSD Champion Teddy Palmer entering second. Those two will go at it until one submits or is pinned. No one else will be allowed to enter the match until the LSD Championship has been decided. At that point we will see Conor Fuse and Dan Ryan enter the match for the 214 team and Jatt Starr and John Sektor enter for the Best Alliance team. The Best Alliance Hall of Famers will defend the Tag Team Championships and will either have Clay Byrd to help them or will be defending against three men because Teddy Palmer retained.
Benny Newell: Either way we already will have a handicap setting and that’s typical here at War Games.
Joe is shocked at Benny’s simple professional comment and continues.
Joe Hoffman: That is right Benny. We will NOT see anyone else join the match until the Tag Team belts have been retained or won. From there…..it is a complete random order of entry and we will NOT alternate team entries this year. Every five minutes we will see another person enter the match and this goes until all 18 wrestlers have entered the match. The only way this ends is once a full team has been eliminated. Whoever is left standing will be the World Champion. If more than one person survives on the winning team…..well the Captains will have a tough choice as it will be the Captain of the winning team that will decide the champion.
Joe pauses to catch his breath and Benny can be seen smiling as he reaches below the announce table and pulls out another shot glass. He then proceeds to fill up both shot glasses and hands one to Joe.
Joe Hoffman: You know I do not drink while working!
Benny Newell: If this is it…….well this is for all the years putting up with my fucking bullshit.
Benny hands Joe a shot glass and with a tint of sadness Joe takes the glass and the two hit glasses and take down their shots.
Joe makes a face that Benny hasn’t made since he took his first shot when he was 9 years old….which obviously elicits a laugh from the self proclaimed Indy legend.
Benny Newell: Alright….lets do this shit.
Joe Hoffman: Yes indeed folks. Lets do this.
“Gunning For You” by Nick Nolan hits the PA system inside the Tokyo Dome and the 6’7” 295lb Best Alliance member from Plainview Texas makes his way out.
He is not wearing his regular ring gear however as he is wearing a camo patterned cowboy hat with duster. He pauses at the top of the entrance ramp and takes in first the crowd, and then looks down at the massive structure at the end of the entrance ramp.
Joe Hoffman: Clay Byrd might be one of the strongest men in this match but one has to wonder where his cardio will be if he wins the LSD Championship and advances.
Benny Newell: From what I have been hearing in the back he has been doing the whole reverse psychology and claiming that he has NO CHANCE of winning. Honestly if Lee were to hear that from one of his team members BEFORE the match….I don’t know if the asshole would even be walking down the ramp right now. HAVE SOME FUCKING CONFIDENCE ASSHOLE!!!
If there is a lack of confidence from Clay he isn’t showing it as he makes his way up the steps and enters what will be known as ring #1 tonight.
Joe Hoffman: Ok folks watching at home tonight live on HOTv. Ring #1 will be the one to your right and one closest to the entrance ramp. HOTv cameras are set up in the traditional American TV set up with the hard camera on the side of the two rings and War Games cell. It really is the only way to truly capture the action in both rings. Ring #2 will be the one to your left as you are watching the action.
Inside Ring #1 Byrd is seen stretching using the top rope the LSD Champion Teddy Palmer slowly makes his way out from the back.
Joe Hoffman: No entrance music here and from what I have been told NONE of the 214 wrestlers will have any music tonight. Lee, due to budget cuts, decided to only pay for the music licenses for the wrestlers on his team.
Benny Newell: Shrewd move by the bossman. Cannot blame him. Budgetary cuts are always legit and hardly understood by the masses.
Joe can only shake his head at Benny as the LSD Champion, with belt around his waist, makes his way down the entrance ramp.
Joe Hoffman: Teddy Palmer sure has a more serious prescence about him tonight. You can tell he is dead serious as he makes his way into this match. It is going to be a tough pill to swallow for one of these two men tonight as they will be eliminated first and quite frankly both men are two of the top favorites to win this match.
Benny Newell: Only one motherfucker is winning tonight. If you are one of the 17 fucking swallow that pill and move the fuck on…….or move the fuck out. Only one person will go over tonight…let’s see how many fuckers GET over tonight.
Joe Hoffman: So have you met Mr. Wahl yet?
Benny Newell: Who do you think just fed me that line asshole? Cmon now.
Back at ringsides and we see that Joel Hortega is in Ring #2 and Matt Boettcher will be the referee for Ring #1.
Palmer hands Boettcher the LSD Championship belt and the Hall of Fame referee holds it high in the air and the crowd politely cheers for the coveted championship.
Joe Hoffman: Fitting that the LSD Championship, the hardcore brother of the ICON Championship, starts off this match here tonight Benny. War Games has seen some of the most brutal moments in history and one has to wonder what we will see tonight. We have been outdoors for many of these matches and now that we are inside this famed arena…….and even as big as it is…..is it big enough?
Benny Newell: The whole fucking thing might come down. Fuck it if it does.
Back in Ring #1 Boettcher is seen handing the LSD Championship to a HOW crewmen on the outside of the cell and he quickly closes the cell door behind him as the crewmen locks it behind Boettcher.
Boettcher motions towards both men and asks if they are ready. Both nod and with that Boettcher signals for the bell.
DING

Joe Hoffman: WAR GAMES 2021 IS UNDERWAY!!!!!
The LSD Champion and challenge rush each other and quickly lock up. Byrd uses his size advantage to push the man back into the turnbuckle where Boettcher normally would call for a break but not in this match. Not in this setting.
Joe Hoffman: Obviously no rules tonight……
Byrd looks at Boettcher, for a moment wondering why there is no break, and Palmer quickly nails him with a right hand and turns Byrd around in the corner and quickly follows it up with a knee to the stomach of the bigger man.
Joe Hoffman: Well for a moment there Byrd lost his concentration and Palmer quickly is on the offensive.
Back in the ring Palmer nails Byrd with a European uppercut and then another one. Byrd drops to a knee and tries to cover up but he is met with more right hands from the LSD Champion. The challenger is able to block a couple more punches and Palmer takes a few steps back and rushes forward and nails Byrd with a clothesline that drops the big Texan to the canvas, where he quickly rolls out of the ring to gather himself.
Joe Hoffman: Palmer with the early offense and Byrd is already on the outside trying to gather himself. The question, as it always is in these matches, will Teddy follow him outside the ring and bring the environment into play?
Benny Newell: They all end up on the outside at some point. If it were me…..I would NOT relent.
With a focused look the LSD Champion seems to agree with Benny as Palmer slides out of the ring and grabs Byrd by the back of the head and begins running towards the cage wall….and with all his strength and momentum he sends Byrd face first into the steel mesh and the Texan slingshots backwards and as he does he barely has time to look up as Palmer nails him with a falling fist to his forehead and Byrd quickly rolls around in pain.
Joe Hoffman: And there we go folks……..Byrd is busted open after the headshot into the steel and falling fist from the LSD Champion immediately afterwards. That did NOT take long for first blood to be drawn.
Benny Newell: Sly would be proud of what you just did there. Kudos to you sir.
Back to the action and we see that Palmer has pulled Byrd up to his knees and is now rubbing the mans forehead back and forth across the steel of the cage like it is his own personal cheese grater. Blood begins to pour out of the forehead of Byrd and only a desperation back elbow to the gut of Palmer stops the onslaught.
Joe Hoffman: Man does Palmer have an edge of ruthless aggression here tonight.
Benny Newell: Doozer would be proud of that line right there Joe. If we only could see that golden flake.
Joe looks perplexed at Benny as the action rages on inside the cell.
Joe Hoffman: Well we are past the five minute mark where someone would be entering this match but not this year. These two go until one is eliminated. Truly a shame for one of these guys.
Benny Newell: How they react to the loss will dictate their HOW career after tonight there is no doubt. But why even think about that? Leave it all on the line tonight. Tomorrow is not guaranteed. I sure as hell have not heard or seen a new road schedule post tonight so why even be worried about it.
Joe Hoffman: Hard to argue that.
Back to the action and we see that Palmer has recovered from the back elbow and has hooked both arms from a kneeling Byrd and nails the man with a DDT to the arena floor. There is an audible gasp from the crowd nearest the action as Palmer rolls the man over and we see a smear of blood on the arena floor and we see a now smiling LSD Champion stand up and pull the challenger to his feet and rolls him into the ring.
Joe Hoffman: Palmer seeing and smelling blood here.
Palmer dives in quickly after rolling the challenger into ring #1 and motions for the man to get to his feet.
Byrd slowing gets up to his knees, flips off the LSD Champion, and staggers to his feet fully just as Palmer grabs him and positions him for his UnscripTED finisher….
Joe Hoffman: REVERSAL BY BYRD!!!
The larger man is able to negate Palmer’s attempt at his finisher and executes a snap suplex that sends Palmer under the bottom rope and to the outside of the ring.
Benny Newell: I don’t think Teddy’s little 235 pound frame could execute that big of a move on Byrd. Not yet anyway. Unless his chest hair is sponsored by Bob Jared…then obviously all bets are off.
Even Joe smiles at the reference to Bob Jared as back inside Ring #1 we see Byrd wiping blood away from his eyes. He is leaning across the top rope as he watches Palmer slowly getting back to his feet on the outside.
Joe Hoffman: Wait….no he is not…..
But yes he is……Byrd leans back hard on the top rope and slingshots himself over the top rope and nails Palmer with a vicious shoulder tackle that sends the LSD Champion flying backwards into the cell wall.
Benny Newell: Big Byrd can fly. Maybe the yellow is wearing off now?
Joe Hoffman: I see what you did there and quite frankly I appreciate it.
Now its Benny’s turn to be shocked by Joe’s retort.
Benny goes to make another smart ass comment but he holds back. Instead he just raises his glass towards Joe and takes another drink as the feed cuts back to the action outside of the ring.
Byrd is back on his feet and is now stomping on the right shoulder of Palmer unmercifully….the same shoulder he just nailed with the shocking move to the outside.
Joe Hoffman: Byrd clearly targeting the shoulder of Palmer now. No way that Teddy is going to be able to execute his finisher on this big man now. If he is going to win he will have to…..
But Joe cuts himself off as we see Byrd, who just pulled Teddy up to his feet, snap suplex Palmer backwards and into the cage wall.
Now it is Byrd’s turn to smile as he is seen sitting on the arena floor as now dried blood has caked his forehead and face.
Inside the ring Boettcher is not even bothering to count and Byrd’s screams up him to be ready to count as he is done with this.
Joe Hoffman: One has to wonder if these two are taking it to the outside as much as they have in this first 10 plus minutes in hopes to end the match quickly as we still have 16 more to enter.
Benny Newell: You fucking think? Of course they are. There is no fucking way you want this to be some 30 minute five star match that the assholes on twitter can talk about. You want to win but you want to win quickly. If you only came here for the LSD then you shouldn’t be here.
Outside the ring we see Byrd back to his feet and pulling Palmer by hair as he looks at the ring steps and smiles as he begins running and then tosses the LSD Champion violently into the ring steps. Palmer hits the ring steps with his right shoulder and he screams out in pain as steel always wins that match up.
The top of the ring steps get disconnected and fall to the arena floor as Byrd now stalks Palmer. The LSD Champion begins using the cell to pull himself to his feet and as he turns he swings violently at Byrd but the Texan ducks it and nails him with a right of his own right below Palmer’s ribcage, knocking the wind out of the man.
Palmer goes to fall to his knees but Byrd does not allow it. Instead he pulls the man up and towards him. He then pushes him violently against the cell and as Palmer bounces off it, Byrd uses the mans momentum to his advantage and executes a perfect Spinebuster.
But not to the arena floor.
Again the crowd gasps as we Palmer lands violently on his back on the top ring steps and if he didn’t lose all his breath from the right hand a minute ago…….he just lost it all.
The LSD Champion rolls off the steps and falls limply to the arena floor as he gasps for air.
Joe Hoffman: The size advantage from Byrd is now all that matters right now. He has targeted the shoulder and now the midsection of the Champion. You cannot argue with his early strategy now that he finally got to the advantage in this match.
Benny Newell: We are almost fifteen minutes into this match. By this rate it is going to be fucking two days before we get a fucking winner for this match. BYRD NEEDS TO WIN AND WIN IT NOW!!
Back outside the ring Byrd has pulled Palmer up to his feet and rolls the man into the ring. Palmer tries to roll away from Byrd but to no avail as Clay slides into the ring and drops and elbow to the back of the head of Palmer. Then another quick elbow but this time to the kidney area of the LSD Champion.
Clay does not waste anymore time however and SLOWLY pulls what is essentially the dead weight of palmer up this feet, and then proceeds to nail him with a stalling body slam.
Palmer screams out but there is no sound as once again the wind is knocked out of him.
With no hesitation Clay pulls him back up to his feet again and this time he Irish whips the man to the far ropes and as Palmer bounces off Byrd meets him with a running spear and covers.
Joe Hoffman: SPEAR BY BYRD!!!! SPEAR BY BYRD!!!
1……
2…….
KICKOUT BY PALMER!!!!
Benny Newell: FUCKING HOOK THE LEG AND USE YOUR FUCKING 300 POUND FRAME TO HOLD THE FUCKER DOWN GOD DAMMIT!!!!
Byrd nods his head as if to “Ok…I got more where that came from”.
Clay pulls himself up to his feet and reaches down to pull Palmer up.
Joe Hoffman: SMALL PACKAGE BY PALMER!!!!!
1……………….
2……………………
KICKOUT BY BYRD!!!!!!
A shocked Byrd jumps up to his feet after kicking out and nails Palmer with a big boot to the forehead while the man is still down.
Joe Hoffman: Palmer almost caught Byrd there…..almost.
Byrd walks up and this time pulls Palmer up and makes sure he protects against the small package and grabs Palmer by the chin and begins screaming at the man.
Joe Hoffman: Not sure if Mr. Wahl would be appreciating the words that Clay is screaming at Palmer right now.
Benny Newell: The 4th generation Wahl will not doubt play a factor tonight Joe…..Lee promised it.
Back in the ring Byrd whips Palmer once again into the ropes and this time goes for his Texas Lariat finisher but Palmer ducks underneath the clothesline attempt and bounces off the far ropes and as he turns….
Joe Hoffman: SPEAR!!!!! ANOTHER SPEAR BY BYRD!!!!
But we quickly see that Byrd is not moving as well. The cameraman on the floor gets into position and we see that Palmer has held onto the head of Byrd and the challenger is once again bleeding as his head went into the canvas violently.
Palmer slowly wraps his left leg behind the head of Byrd and proceeds to lock in his L.B.I triangle choke submission hold.
Joe Hoffman: BYRD IS NOT MOVING!!!! PALMER IS BARELY MOVING!!!!! HE HAS THE SUBMISSION LOCKED IN!!!
Suddenly Byrd’s body comes to life and he begins to scramble to get out of the hold. He leans into Palmer and forces the man’s shoulders to the mat and Boettcher begins to count.
1…..
2…….
Palmer barely gets his right shoulder up but keeps the choke hold locked in.
Boettcher continues to check on Byrd who is moving around more slowly.
Benny Newell: Motherfucker. LIFT THE MOTHERFUCKER UP AND POWERBOMB HIS ASS LIKE YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO WHEN YOU ARE 300 FUCKING POUNDS!!!
Palmer’s face is bright red as he is using all his energy to try and choke out the man.
Byrd, with desperation, lifts his knees up off the canvas and once again leans forward putting Palmer’s shoulders on the mat.
1……………………
2………………………..
Benny Newell: YESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Joe Hoffman: NOOOOO!!!!!!!! BENNY LOOK!!!!!
Boettcher is seen pointing at Teddy Palmer and we quickly get a split screen replay as the footage is shown on HOTv.
Joe Hoffman: Boettcher stopped counting at two as he seen Byrd was all the way out!!! Palmer retains!!! Palmer retains!!!
Benny Newell: BUT BYRD WAS STILL PINNING HIM!!!!??? WHAT THE FUCK!!!???
Back in the ring Palmer is slowly sliding himself away from Byrd who is still facedown in the middle of the ring, completely out from the triangle choke.
Joe Hoffman: That was the correct call there by Boettcher. He clearly saw that Byrd was out and to avoid permanent damage to the man he had to call for the bell.
Benny Newell: ONE MORE SECOND!!!??? I THINK HE WOULD GIVE UP SOME BRAIN CELLS TO HAVE WON THAT MATCH JOE!!!! FUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!
HOW crewmen unlock the cell and medics quickly rush into the ring and it takes four of them to get the big Texan out of the ring and onto a stretcher.
As the medics are doing that the crewmen hands the LSD Championship to Boettcher who holds it high in the air and motions to Teddy Palmer as ring announcer Bryan McVay gives the official announcement.
Bryan McVay: WINNER OF THE FIRST FALL IN THIS YEARS WAR GAMES MATCH AND STTIIIIIIILLLLL LSD CHAMPION……TEDDDY PAAAAAALLLLLMMMMMMMEEERRRRRRR!!!!!
Boettcher hands the belt back to the crewmen as cameras focus in on the champ who is now slumped up against the bottom turnbuckle.
Joe Hoffman: Well folks there is no resting. It is time for the next FOUR men to enter the match. It will be Palmer helping his teammates Conor Fuse and Dan Ryan in an attempt to wrest away the Tag Team Championships from Jatt Starr and John Sektor.
Benny Newell: Motherfucker. I cannot believe Byrd lost. FUCK.
To back up Joe’s statement we see Dan Ryan and Conor Fuse make their way out from the back and once again without any music.
The two men quickly enter the cell and make their way over to Palmer and help the LSD Champion to his feet as “UNDEAD” hits the PA system and John Sektor and Jatt Starr make their way out.
Benny Newell: Ok here we go. Jatt Starr was in the first ever War Games match in High Octane Wrestling’s history and now he very well could be in its last. Talk about fucking history.
Joe Hoffman: These two men have won countless gold and War Games as you said is no stranger to these men and John Sektor as a former champion has to be one of the favorites. But right now….in these next several moments….it will be them taking on three men to retain the Tag Titles. Someone will be eliminated and from there on it will be random entries.
Benny Newell: Time to go Best Alliance…it is time to fucking go. Enough of the fingerbanging and comedy. These two always bring it for the big matches and at this stage of their careers these are the only things that matter……World Title matches. LETS FUCKING GO!!!!
Sektor and Starr take the Tag Titles off from around their waists, hand them to the crewmen, and enter the War Games structure.
Boettcher quickly signals for the bell to kick off the Tag Team Championship portion of this War Games match.
Joe Hoffman: Obviously there will be no tagging in and out here. Tornado tag team rules. Inside War Games anything and everything is legal.
As StarrSek fully enters the ring Dan Ryan and Conor Fuse waste no time as they charge at the Tag Team Champions.
Ryan squares off with Jatt as Fuse begins exchanging right hands with Sektor.
Benny Newell: NOW WE FUCKING GO….NOW WE FUCKING GO!!!!
The respectable crowd is cheering as the four men face off in the center of the ring as we see the LSD Champion over in Ring #2 trying to gather himself.
Joe Hoffman: You cannot blame Palmer here. He just went thru almost 20 minutes of hell with Byrd and used the last of his strength to barely hold onto the LSD Championship. Smart move by him to crawl his way to the other ring to recoup.
Benny Newell: Will not fucking last Joe. Will not fucking last!!
Back in Ring #1 we see Dan Ryan has punched Jatt to the corner and is still unloading on the man as Fuse has done the same to Sektor in the opposite corner. The two men look back at each other and nod and then proceed to irish whip the two Best Alliance members at each other and the men collide in the middle of the ring.
The camera focuses in on Dan Ryan who slowly reaches into his tights…
Benny Newell: Oh shit…someone is about to pull their tampon out…..
Joe Hoffman: BENNY!!!!!!
Benny Newell: What? That fucker is so worried about where Sektor’s fingers have been maybe he should……….FUCK!!!
Instead of a tampon, Ryan pulls out a pair of brass knuckles, smiling as he puts them on his right fist.
Benny Newell: Could he have not just worn those to the ring? C’mon. The old man clearly is out of it.
Joe Hoffman: Maybe he didn’t want his opponents to know he had a weapon right away? You know they wouldn’t have engaged if they saw him with a darn weapon!
Benny Newell: Fuck off with your common sense theories.
Back in the ring Jatt stumbles to his feet and as he does Ryan rears back and nails the Hall of Famer with a powerful right hand that drops Jatt right where he was standing. Blood begins to pour from the head of Jatt.
Ryan then looks over at Conor who just booted Sektor in the head to keep him down. Now it is Fuse’s turn as he reaches into his tights and pulls out a weapon as well.
Benny Newell: Not going to lie……all this reaching into the tights has me thinking very rapey thoughts.
Joe Hoffman: Benny!!!!! You cannot say…
Benny Newell: Rape? Oh fuck off. It’s a word. In a dictionary. Rape. Rape Rape…FUCK
Conor nails Sektor in the head with his weapon and we see that its his own version of brass knuckles. But these knuckles have UP and DOWN arrows across each knuckle.
Joe Hoffman: Fuse with the UP UP DOWN DOWN brass knuckles and the two Best Alliance Hall of Famers are both lying down in the middle of the ring bleeding only a couple minutes into this portion of the match.
Ryan motions for Conor to come over to his side of the ring and the two men pick up Jatt Starr and as Conor holds the Hall of Famer up we see Ryan position Jatt for a powerbomb but instead of dropping him right there he turns and proceeds to powerbomb Jatt out of the ring and to the floor on the outside.
Again the crowd gasps as Jatt’s body thuds violently on the floor and he is not moving at all.
Conor and Ryan lean over the ropes and look down at Jatt and the man remains unmoving. Both men turn and as they do they are greeted by Sektor who clotheslines both men over the top rope. The Hall of Famer falls to his knees after hitting the desperation double clothesline.
The camera zooms in on the bloody Sektor as he rests his arms and head on the middle rope as he is unable to follow up the move.
Joe Hoffman: Just enough there from Sektor to capitalize.
Outside the ring both Ryan and Fuse are getting up to their feet and Sektor has to make a quick choice whether to engage or recoup. Sektor stands up and both Ryan and Fuse motion for Sektor to come outside the ring but the Hall of Famer thinks better of it and slowly backs up to the middle of the ring and dares the men to enter the action.
Instead Fuse reaches under the ring quickly and pulls out a steel chair and hands it to Ryan.
Ryan bends down and places Jatt’s head in the chair and we see Sektor walk towards the ropes to fully see what is going on.
Ryan motions for Sektor to come to the outside as he holds his right leg over the head of Jatt.
Joe Hoffman: Ryan is daring Sektor to come to the outside of the ring….he has to otherwise Ryan might just break Jatt’s neck here!!
Cameras focus on Sektor as he slowly takes a step back. And then another.
Ryan screams at him that he is about to do it.
Outside the ring Jatt is slowly coming to and his eyes open as he sees the foot of Ryan holding over him.
Jatt screams for Sektor as Ryan raises his leg a little higher and then begins to bring it down.
Sektor begins to start towards the men but as he does he is nailed with a blindsided right hand to his temp at the LSD Champion Teddy Palmer has re entered the action.
Outside, and smiling, Ryan brings his foot down hard and stomps on the chair.
Everyone is in shock as Jatt goes limp from the blow and his eyes roll in the back of his head as he goes into literal shock.
Benny Newell: DISGUSTING move by Dan Ryan there. FUCKING DISGUSTING MAN.
Outside the ring even Conor Fuse is taken a bit aback by what Ryan just did. Dan rips the chair out from around Jatt’s head and he violently yanks the 220 pounds of dead weight that is Jatt Starr up and puts him over his shoulder. He then calmly walks up the far ringsteps, the ones still together, with the man still on this shoulder and enters the cell once again.
He drops Jatt in the corner of the ring as we see Palmer on the back of Sektor and can be seen forcing the man to watch as Ryan covers Jatt.
1………………………
2……………………….
3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Joe Hoffman: Simply automatic folks. This outcome was never in doubt.
Benny Newell: I sure hope those fucking 23839823893 daughters of Dan are proud of their father tonight. Sure hope we don’t have to listen to him explaining his actions to his daughters for the next six months. Fucking pathetic.
Bryan McVay: Winners via pinfall and NEEEEWWWW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS……DAN RYAN AND CONOR FUUUUUUSEEEEEEE!!!!
The door to the cell is immediately opened and HOW medics rush into the cell with a bodyboard to get Jatt out of there as fast as possible.
Dan slowly stands up and turns towards the middle of the ring where Teddy just stomped Sektor in the back of the head.
Palmer, Ryan and Fuse all stand over the downed Hall of Famer as Boettcher signals towards the back to signal for the next entrant.
Joe Hoffman: Well folks here we go. Now as soon as Boettcher signals for the bell we begin the World Title portion of this match. That is why you are not seeing the 214 men going for a pinfall right now. The LSD and Tag Team Championships have been decided.
Benny Newell: For the love of everything holy…please…please…please let this be a Best Alliance member!!!
A man appears from the back.
There is no music.
That can mean only one thing.
Benny Newell: NOOOOO!!!!!!
Joe Hoffman: 214 has another entrant!!!!
The cameras focus in and we see Xander Azula making his way out from the back.
Benny Newell: NOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cameras follow Xander as he makes his way to the cell.
The man is smiling as he sees his three teammates clapping as the HOW rookie is set to make his War Games debut.
Joe Hoffman: Four on one here. My God. This is going to get ugly.
Ryan turns to Boettcher and asks him to ring the bell for the next portion to start but he mentions that he has to wait until Xander enters the cage.
As the man reaches the cell door he sees everyone screaming at him to turn around.
WHACK
Xander is blindsided by a thunderous shot from a steel chair.
Everyone turns towards the man that just nailed Xander and is now climbing into the cage.
Joe Hoffman: IT’S THE 4TH WAHL……….ITS THE 4TH WAHL!!!!!!!!
Benny Newell: YES!!!!!!!!
Conor charges the fourth generation wrestler but he is promptly grabbed by the 7’4” man and tossed over the top rope and to the floor below. Palmer charges as well but he meets the same fate.
Smirking, Dan Ryan walks up to the big man and stares down Wahl.
Benny Newell: Look at this fucking idiot thinking he is going to get thru this fucking Wahl.
It is not often that the 6’7” Texan has to look up to anyone but here we are.
Ryan turns, runs, and bounces off the ropes and nails Wahl with a clothesline but to no avail.
Benny Newell: He thought he was cute going up to the Wahl with that?
Ryan turns and charges again. Again he is unable to go thru the 4th Wahl.
One more time and this time he his grabbed the throat and the 355lb man chokeslams Ryan hard into the middle of the ring.
He stands over Ryan and then he turns towards Palmer and Fuse who are slowly getting back to their feet on the outside.
He keeps one eye on both men as he pulls Sektor up to his feet. Sektor is stunned by the sheer size of the man and quickly takes a step back.
Benny Newell: Looks like Sektor knows better. Do NOT fuck with that man.
Wahl walks over to the ropes and steps over the top rope and jumps off the canvas to the arena floor. He picks up both Fuse and Palmer by the top of their heads and proceeds to smash them together….the sound of the men’s heads cracking each other is sickening, as both men go down.
With a smirk, Wahl turns and makes his way towards the cell door and exits the cell. He pulls Xander up by his head and walks back into the cell and picks the man up over his head in a gorilla press slam and tosses Xander over the top rope and into the ring.
Satisfied, Wahl exits the cell, steps over the security rail and begins walking thru the crowd and to parts unknown.
Benny Newell: Well apparently Mr. Wahl had a date with one Dan Ryan there.
Joe Hoffman: You think??
Back inside the ring, and with Xander finally in the ring, Boettcher signals for the bell and we will not hear another bell until the finish and when we will crown a winner of the match.
Joe Hoffman: The World Title portion of this War Games match is officially underway!!!!
Sektor quickly rushes to the far side of the ring and covers Xander…..
1…………………
2…………………………….
Joe Hoffman: COVER IS BROKEN UP AS FUSE JUST PULLED XANDER OUT OF THE RING BY HIS ARM!!!
Benny Newell: HOOK THE FUCKING LEG. COME THE FUCK ON SEKTOR. YOU ARE THE MACHINE OF THE COMPANY!!
Joe Hoffman: Well its clear that Sektor rushed to get that pinfall attempt and it cost him as Fuse was able to pretty easily pull Xander out.
Sektor looks out at Fuse and pounds the canvas in frustration and then remembers Ryan is behind him laid out in the center of the ring.
Sektor turns and covers Ryan. This time he hooks the leg.
1………………..
2……………………
KICKOUT by Ryan!!!
Sektor, clearly frustrated and panicked at the stacked odds, covers Ryan again and this time hooks BOTH legs.
1…………………..
2…………………………………..
Joe Hoffman: TEDDY PALMER BREAKS UP THE PINFALL ATTEMPT!!!!!!!
We quickly get a split screen as we see Palmer hopping up on the apron and then quickly to the top rope and diving and nailing Sektor with a reckless elbow to break up the pinfall attempt.
Benny Newell: For fucks sake. If this was still fat and out of shape Sektor he probably is able to pin Ryan the first time. FUCK.
Sektor quickly rolls towards the second ring and his ring awareness is his greatest ally as he is able to get out of danger as Teddy is seen slowly getting back to his feet in ring one. The LSD Champion can be seen helping Ryan to his feet and we see Fuse doing the same for Xander as well as they have entered the ring as well.
All four men of 214 stand up and are standing side by side as they stare down Sektor who is literally standing behind Joel Hortega in Ring #2.
Joe Hoffman: Not the bravest of men here hiding behind a referee.
Benny Newell: Maybe he is checking that asshole for his green card and passport? I sure hope Hortega can get back into the United States. We are a LOOOOONG way from home Dorothy.
Joe Hoffman: I don’t think you can say that anymore Benny?
Benny Newell: Get off your soapbox asshole. Focus on the match. Sektor about to shock the fucking world.
But the Hall of Famer does not look the part however. He is still positioning Hortega between him and the four men as they near the middle of the ring. All four men climb out of ring #1 and into ring #2 and as soon as they do Sektor pushes Hortega towards them and he slides out of the ring and to the arena floor.
Ryan and Fuse slide out of the ring on opposite sides and now they are walking towards Sektor as Palmer and Xander stay in the ring.
Suddenly the High Octane Vision screen above the entrance ramp begins a countdown from 10 and the crowd counts along with it and as it hits zero everyone turns towards the entrance ramp.
Naturally Born Killaz hits the PA system and we see Steve Solex begin running down towards the ring.
Joe Hoffman: STEVE SOLEX!!!!!!!
But this is not your daddy’s Steve Solex. The man is SPRINTING down the entrance ramp and his face is painted with camo war paint and he has a……mace???
Joe Hoffman: What the….
Benny Newell: I believe that is what they call a fucking weapon of mass destruction. Thank you very much!!!
All four members of the 214 stable turn towards Solex as the crewmen opens the door for him to enter the match.
Dan Ryan turns and rushes toward Solex and as the Best Alliance member enters the cell he quickly swings the 4 foot long mace at Ryan but the big man is able to sidestep the blow and he clotheslines Solex down to the arena floor.
Quickly Palmer joins Ryan and he picks up the mace and tosses it into Ring #1 and away from Solex. The two men then begin to stomp at Solex as the action quickly picks up as its two 214 members for each one Best Alliance member.
Back near Ring #2 we see Fuse running at Sektor who slides back into the ring, ducks a clothesline attempt from Xander and instead of bouncing off the ropes he dives over the ropes and rolls into Ring #1 and picks up the mace that Palmer just discarded.
Sektor looks down at Solex who is getting pummeled by Ryan and Palmer and instead of helping he turns and charges back at Xander who can be seen climbing thru the ropes separating the two rings.
WHACK
WHACK
Everyone turns towards the sound of the blows as we see Sektor bring the mace down over the middle of the back of Xander who was trying to enter Ring #1.
Joe Hoffman: Oh my GOD. Sektor just brought that down over the back of Xander and the mans back is a mess!!
The cameras zoom in to see three small spots of flesh completely torn from his back from the blow from the mace.
Sektor raises the mace once again but he is unable to deliver another blow as we see Conor Fuse diving off the middle ropes between the rings and delivers a desperation clothesline to Sektor. The force and momentum of the blow sends Sektor backwards and the mace out of the ring and to the arena floor.
Sektor stumbles up to his feet and as he does Fuse grabs ahold of his head and runs towards the corner and uses the turnbuckle for momentum and delivers a tilt a whirl DDT to the Hall of Famer.
Fuse jumps up just in time to see Solex spraying both Ryan and Palmer in the eyes with what appears to pepper spray. Solex is bleeding from his nose and it appears to be broken. Fuse rushes towards the ropes and executes a perfect suicide dive to the outside and the force of the blow sends Solex flying back first into the cell and the pepper spray out of his hands and somehow thru a hole in the cell and to the outside of the cage.
Benny Newell: Fucking Fuse. That fucking trolling BOT of a fucking man.
Fuse can be seen helping Ryan and Palmer to their feet just as the HOV comes to life and the countdown begins.
The crowd counts down as one and once again the 214 is regrouping as we hear “I am the cool” hit the PA system and the World Champion Cool Cancer Jiles makes his way out from the back.
Benny Newell: NOW WE FUCKING GO….NOW WE FUCKING GO!!!
There will be no sprinting from the World Champion however. The crowd actually begins booing as Jiles stops at the bottom of the entrance ramp to tie not one….but both of his boots.
Back inside Ring #1 we see that Solex slowly climbed into the ring while Palmer, Fuse and Dan Ryan are focused on Jiles…..Palmer and Ryan clearly struggling to see.
Inside Ring #1 Xander Azula is on his knees and he sees Solex slowly enter the ring. Solex, broken nose and struggling to see as well, looks up just in time to see Xander rear back and nail him with a right hand right on the nose.
Fresh flood flies from the man’s nose and his eyes begin to water as Xander unleashes on the man.
Xander screams out in frustration and pain as he stands up and the pain in his back overtakes him. The other three members of the 214 team look back at him and he motions that he has it covered and they all three turn their attention back to Jiles who now is signing autographs for people in the front row……some of the fans begging him NOT to sign as we see Jiles sign a little kids forehead in the front row.
Joe Hoffman: Maybe focus on the guy in the ring and get a quick elimination?
But Joe’s point is moot as the HOW crewmen unlock the cell door as Jiles gets closer to the door and hands the World Title to a man next to him.
Just as the door opens the 214 men rush it and led by Dan Ryan they damn near blow the door off its hinges as they exit the War Games structure and begin attacking the World Champion.
Jiles is caught by surprise as all Ryan lands a right hand to the World Champion and Jiles goes flying on the arena floor. All three men begin stalking the World Champion and Jiles as no choice but to go up.
Benny Newell: Oh fuck…..Jiles is going UP the cell!!!!
The crowd stands as one as the World Champion scrambles up the side of the war games cell. As he reaches the top he looks down and all three members of the 214 team are giving chase.
While the three give chase to the World Champion we cut quickly back inside ring #1 where Xander can be executing his chaos theory rolling german suplex.
The move sends Solex flying to the center of the ring. Solex staggers to his feet and as he does he is met with a kick to the gut by Xander and the man lifts Solex for a vertical suplex.
Solex is able to block the move.
Xander tries again.
Again Solex blocks.
Xander tries again.
This time Solex kicks Xander squarely in the balls and reverses the suplex by hooking the mans leg and executing his own suplex.
Benny Newell: SOLEXPLEX!!!!!!!!
Boettcher begins the pinfall count just as the HOV comes to life and another countdown begins…
1……..
2……..
3!!!!!!!!
Bryan McVay: XANDER AZULA HAS BEEN ELIMINATED BY PINFALL BY STEVE SOLEX!!!!
Azula immediately grabs at his groin in pains as Solex grabs at his groin in pain. We see a now standing Sektor, kick Azula in the stomach and continues to kick him until he is out of the ring.
Sektor helps Solex to his feet just as the countdown hits zero and our next entrance is known.
Joe Hoffman: IT IS THE MAY WRESTLER OF THE MONTH!!!! ARTHUR PLEASANT!!!!!
Pleasant makes his way out, obviously to no music, but all attention is to the top of the cell as we see Jiles standing in the middle of the structure as Ryan, Palmer and Fuse make it to the top and begin stalking the World Champion.
Jiles begins to beg the other three men to wait….to hold on……anything other than to engage at the top of the cell.
Joe Hoffman: Well we have seen three on one before when it comes to the Best Alliance but this time the one is the World Champion and we all saw what happened when he was on the other side. This does NOT bode well for Jiles here. Not at all.
Benny Newell: He is the World Champion until he is not. Shut the fuck up Joe.
The three 214 members begin walking faster towards Jiles who continues to backtrack. The camera pans out and we see that Arthur Pleasant has NOT entered the cell but instead has begun to scale the cell himself…..he is on the opposite side of Jiles and the World Champion sees all four men coming for him.
He then smiles.
Joe Hoffman: What the H E double hockey sticks is he smiling for???
As Pleasant reaches the top of the cell its painfully clear.
Jiles sprints for the side of the large structure and begins climbing back down….refusing to engage. All four 214 members race towards an edge of the cell and begin climbing back down themselves.
As they reach the arena floor all begin charging towards the door and then they stop as they see Sektor and Solex laughing inside Ring #1.
In their rush to get back down they missed that Jiles began climbing the cell again.
Now as they look up they see a very tired World Champion lying on the top of the structure. Jiles waves at Dan Ryan and rolls back over exhausted from his climbs.
Benny Newell: I CANNOT wait to see that clipped and on HOTv to some Benny Hill music. THAT is why he is the World Champion….he knows how to work the steel cages. Fucking masterful.
We see Dan Ryan flip off the World Champion and the four members of the 214 team come together and they enter the cell and head towards Sektor and Solex who are now in Ring #2 and both are holding steel chairs.
Joe Hoffman: Well Jiles was able to run away but these two will NOT have anywhere to go. Palmer, Fuse, Ryan and Pleasant ARE NOT in a pleasant mood and Solex and Sektor are about to pay for this.
Benny Newell: I see what you did there……fucking brilliant…..asshole.
As all four start towards Ring #2 the HOV countdown begins and once again all turn towards the HOV….except Dan Ryan. Ryan is done with all the cuteness.
Ryan slides into Ring #2 as the other three turn towards the cell entrance just as Kingdom by Jaxson Gamble hits the PA system and Jace Parker Davidson makes his way out.
Benny Newell: LETS FUCKING GO!!!!!
Jace is ready to fight and there is no stalling. JPD begins sprinting towards the action.
Back inside the ring we see that Ryan has called his Tag Team Championship winning partner Conor Fuse to join him and we see the two men slide into the ring with Sektor and Solex and both are able to duck chair shots from the Best Alliance members and nail them with right hands causing both men to drop their chairs.
Joe Hoffman: For once we have odds that are even as the four men are squaring off in Ring #2!!
Back outside Ring #1 Palmer and Pleasant wait literally on the other side of the door as JPD screams at them as the crewmen unlocks the now bent to all hell door and allows him to enter.
Jace begins swinging wildly immediately as Pleasant and Palmer do as well. Jace ducks a right hand by Pleasant and as he does he swings for Palmer and nails the man in his already injured ribs. Palmer drops as he struggles to breathe.
Jace then nails Pleasant with an uppercut and quickly turns back towards Palmer and kicks the man in the ribs.
Joe Hoffman: Jace clearly saw what happened earlier and knew the target on the LSD Champion.
Benny Newell: No FUCKING shit.
AP rolls into the ring and Jace follows suit. JPD delivers more punches and then irish whips pleasant into the far ropes and nails him with a perfect drop kick.
Jace pops back up to his feet and plays to the crowd. He motions that he wants the belt before turning his attention back to AP. He pulls the man up to his feet and nails him with a perfect stalling vertical suplex. As he executes the move and falls to his back he sees the World Champion at the top of the cell watching the action below.
Jiles waves to Jace who can only shake his head and quickly turns his attention back to Pleasant.
But that pause was all that Pleasant needed as the May Wrestler of the Month nails Jace with a right hand as the man went to pick him back up.
Pleasant gets back up to his feet and he delivers several kicks to the core of Jace and now its Jace who is backpedaling to the far corner. As he gets there he goes to kick Pleasant away but Palmer grabs his leg from the outside and then pulls it back hard causing Jace to fall face first to the canvas.
Joe Hoffman: Kudos to Jace for wanting to fight two men at once but sadly this isn’t 2016 and I don’t see him being able to do what he used to be able to do….no matter what he thinks in his head.
Benny Newell: Positive thoughts only Joe!!!!
Pleasant and the LSD Champion begin working as team in Ring #1 as the HOV comes to live and our next entrance is known….
Benny Newell: Well hopefully it takes this bitch six months to get to the ring……..that way she can retire before she gets into the match.
Joe can only shake his head as Lindsay Troy makes her way from the back.
Joe Hoffman: Well bad news for the Best Alliance here folks. Fuse and Ryan are holding down the fort in Ring #2 as they are in control over Sektor and Solex and now LT joins the fray to either help Pleasant and Palmer eliminate Jace or she can shift the odds even more in Ring #2 and give her team an edge in each ring.
Benny Newell: Well we know she is unable to make a GOOD decision let alone one that could help her own fucking team. If she somehow makes it into the ring before her 6 months is up….well it might just take her that long to make a decision on what to do.
Joe Hoffman: Well I imagine she has to go help Ryan and Fuse no?
Benny Newell: Well considering the current dick that puts her to sleep all night is in the other ring…..I would not be so sure. I wonder if the LSD Champion makes her call him a bitch she she’s sticking her dick in him every night?
Joe Hoffman: BENNY!!!!!!!
Benny Newell: Hey I’m not kink shaming. A mouth is a mouth.
Joe can only shake his head as we see LT finally make it to the cell door and she enters the fray. The crewmen struggles to lock the door behind her due to it being bent earlier in the night but they indeed get it locked.
LT looks up at Palmer who has just executed a double suplex in the middle of Ring 1 to Jace. Pleasant and Palmer stand up and Palmer motions for LT to go up Ryan and Fuse as they have it under control in this ring.
Benny Newell: GO MAKE HIM A FUCKING SAMMICH TOO WHILE YOU ARE AT IT YOU FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT.
Joe Hoffman:: Clearly the proper strategy is winning out here.
LT slides into ring #2 and quickly clotheslines Sektor down to the canvas. Fuse whips Solex at Troy and she promptly headbutts the man directly on his already broken nose. Solex falls down to his knees and LT motions for Solex to suck her dick as she slaps the man across the face and screams EQUAL RIGHTS BITCH.
Benny Newell: That was highly offensive. Someone call HR. Someone open up a side discord for me. I need to vent and complain….asap. I will feel better.
Joe Hoffman: Payback is a bitch and LT is that bitch right now.
Benny spits out his Jack in mid drink.
Benny Newell: Did you just cuss? I am fucking HARD right now. Joe!!!!
Joe shakes his head and focuses in back on the action as the HOV comes to life once again and once again another entrant is known as we see an overhead shot of 214 literally controlling the whole match.
“Take the Money and Run” hits the PA system and Steve Harrison makes his way out.
Benny Newell: LET’S FUCKING GO!!!!!!
Harrison sprints down to the cell and immediately slides into ring #1 and drops both Palmer and Pleasant with quick multiple clotheslines.
Benny Newell: The fresher man always prevails Joe!!! Justice for the Best Alliance!!!
Harrison helps Jace to his feet and the two men turn the tide and begin working over Pleasant and Palmer as the action cuts over to Ring #2 where LT, Fuse and Dan Ryan are in full control of Sektor and Solex but have yet to secure a pinfall.
Joe Hoffman: Troy and Ryan are NOT technically working together here as we have yet to see them execute any tag team moves together but each one is working flawlessly with Fuse.
Benny Newell: Imagine Troy working well with two men. But give credit where its due. The bigger dick in that ring is running shit. NO doubt about that. If Fuse is 8bit and Ryan is MS-DOS we already know LT is the scrambled porn we all grew up on and watched with one eye on the screen and one eye fingerbanging the apple pie.
Joe Hoffman: BENNY!!!!!
Benny Newell: You don’t like Apple Pie?
Joe ignores Benny as he focuses in on the action in Ring #2 as we see Troy come off the top rope and execute a flawless shooting star press on Solex and she covers as we see Ryan delivering shoulder blocks into Sektors midsection in the far corner.
Uno……………..
KICKOUT by Solex!!!
Joe Hoffman: Not even a two count as Solex kicks out quickly.
Smiling, LT mounts Solex, pinning his shoulders to the mat and Solex quickly shoves her off before Hortega can get to uno.
This time LT mounts Solex but she is not going for the pin. She grabs Solex’s broken nose and begins twisting it. Solex screams out in pain and his scream causes Ryan to stop pummeling Sektor to turn and see Troy smiling as she blood continues to pour from the nose of Solex.
Fuse, who is perched on the top turnbuckle, motions for Troy to move and the Queen delivers an elbow to the nose of Solex before she climbs off him and motions for Fuse that the runway is open.
Joe Hoffman: Here we go!!!! The SUPER SPLASH IS IMMINENT!!!!
Fuse goes to jump……but instead he falls sideways off the top turnbuckle and to the floor below.
Everyone is confused to what just happened but then the laughter from above gives way.
Joe Hoffman: What just happened!!!???
The HOV comes to life and we see a replay of exactly what just happened. Just as Conor is about to execute his finishing move we see the World Champion, who is still on top of the cell, drop something from above and the object literally landed on the top of Fuse’s head.
Back live and we see LT slide out of the ring to check on Fuse who is know bleeding from the drop of his head and lying next to him is an object.
An egg.
But not any egg. An egg made out of metal.
LT picks it up and she is amazed at how much the thing weighs and she looks up at Jiles just as the HOV once again finishes another countdown and are next entrant makes their way out….
Joe Hoffman: RAY MCAVAY!!!!!!!!
McAvay sprints down the entrance ramp and immediately slides into ring #1 where he pounces on JPD….shoving both Palmer and Pleasant to the side.
Both men turn towards Harrison instead and toss him to the outside where they quickly follow suit. Palmer directs Pleasant to work over Harrison as the LSD Champion tries to rest and catch his breath.
Joe Hoffman: Well McAvay came into this match and went directly at Jace.
Benny Newell: He went at him like a ball of fire no? He ran down that ramp like his hair was on fire no?
Joe Hoffman: Too soon Benny.
Inside Ring #1 we see execute a perfect swinging neck breaker and follows that up with more right hands to JPD.
He picks the man up and chops the man into the far corner where he climbs up to the second turnbuckle and begins dropping right handed bombs on JPD as the crowd counts along to the count of ten.
After the tenth punch Ray hops off the turnbuckle and as JPD stumbles forward Ray bounces off the near ropes, grabs Jace’s head and executes a running bulldog.
Joe Hoffman: No pinfall attempts here by McAvay. He is here to punish Jace and that is all he wants to do. Outside the ring Pleasant continues to dominate Harrison while the LSD Champion, who has been in this match from the beginning, is literally sitting on the apron of the ring resting.
Benny Newell: I am sure once 11:59 hits another time zone he will jump into action. Probably gets that from the tit he drinks from nightly.
Joe Hoffman: Why are you so consumed by Lindsay Troy??
Benny Newell: She bangs wrestlers. I am a wrestler. There are 17 other dudes in this match. Half of them are pretty close to being naked and most are bleeding. Pretty sure that makes me think that LT BRINGS all the KINK to the bedroom. I am here for the fucking bitch. She just has to lose tonight is all…..and for the next six months…..after that I am sure she will be PRIME to go somewhere else.
Joe Hoffman: Assault Benny. Assault.
Benny Newell: Focus on the fucking match.
Back in Ring #2 we see Ryan toss Sektor over his head with an overhead belly to belly suplex. Outside the ring we see LT trying to stop the bleeding from Conor’s head as the man is still knocked out.
Back inside the ring Ryan now picks up Solex and whips him hard into the far turnbuckle where he follows up with a running forearm smash to the nose of Solex.
Solex drops to the canvas and desperately rolls out of the ring and falls flatly to the arena floor just as the HOV comes to life and our next entrant is announced….
“Believer” by Solence hits the PA system and Sutler Kael makes his way out.
Benny Newell: YES!!!! LETS GO YOU LITTLE FUCKING SHIT………LETS FUCKING GO!!!
Sutler makes his way to the top of the entrance ramp and looks up at the HOV that has reset to five minutes for the next entrant.
Suddenly the clock begins to countdown rapidly……and the faster it goes the wider the smile goes on the face of Sutler.
Suddenly it hits all zeros and UNDEAD hits the PA system and Scottywood makes his way out.
He stops at the top of the entrance ramp next to Sutler and he holds up a barbed wire baseball bat to the crowd.
Sutler looks back at the HOV and the clock has reset to five minutes and it begins counting down…seemingly fixed now……..or not…..as the time is moving very slowly now.
Joe Hoffman: What the hell????
Benny Newell: Don’t like it take it up with HR!!!!??
Joe Hoffman: Folks Scottywood and Sutler are the LAST TWO entrants for The Best Alliance which means Zeb Martin and Darin Zion are the last two to enter this match if that clock EVER counts down.
Benny Newell: Pretty sure I saw a suggestion box outside Lee’s office earlier if you want to complain?
Joe can only shake his head as we watch Scottywood and Sutler heading towards the ring together.
With the numbers finally in the Best Alliance’s favor we see the World Champion stand up and slowly making his way down the side of the huge cell.
Sutler and Scottywood wait for the World Champion to make it to the arena floor and as he does they all head towards the door together.
Pleasant and Palmer turn towards the entrance and yell at McAvay to join them. McAvay hears them and quickly tosses Jace over the far ropes and to the arena floor opposite of the cell door. We see Pleasant pick up the mace that Solex brought in earlier and seeing that both Sutler and Jiles look at each other and smile.
The two men quickly push Scottywood into the cell and close the door behind him.
Scottywood turns towards both men and flip them off and says “Fuck it” and turns towards the rushing three men brandishing his hockey stick like a sword.
Benny Newell: You know nothing Scottywood…..
Joe Hoffman: Huh?
Benny ignores Joe and instead focuses in on the action as does everyone else as Scottywood swings his barbed wire hockey stick violently at all three men. He jabs the end of it into the stomach of Palmer, causing him to fall to the side, and then nails McAvay in the back and the barbs get stuck in the back of the man and that causes just enough hesitation for Pleasant to capitalize and he nails Scottywood across the face with the medieval weapon.
The force of the blow rips flesh from the side of Scottywood and as Pleasant looks at the damage he notices that the piercings in Scottywoods lip are now sitting perfectly on the pointed edges of the weapon.
Pleasant drops the weapon and rolls Scottywood into the ring and makes the cover.
1………
2………
3!!!!!!!
Bryan McAvay: Scottywood has been eliminated by ARTHUR PLEASANT!!!!!
Joe Hoffman: Betrayed by his own teammates!!???
Said teammates rush into the fray immediately and begin attacking Palmer and McAvay. As they see Pleasant turn towards them both men turn and head towards Ring #2.
Joe Hoffman: Look at this clock…..its still on 4 minutes and 49 seconds???
Benny Newell: Time is relative man. Its moving fast as fuck for me?
Back outside Ring #2 we see Jiles and Sutler pick up Solex who is wide eyed and caked with blood from his nose.
Jiles yells at Solex to get it together but Solex is not answering. He mutters the name Kutter and slowly snaps to attention as they look inside the ring where Sektor just got nailed with a running clothesline in the corner by Ryan.
All three men slide into the ring and together stare down Ryan. Suddenly we see LT slide into the ring as well and her and Ryan share awkward glances and then nod as the two of them rush the three Best Alliance members.
Benny Newell: EQUAL RIGHTS BITCH!!!!!
Sutler, wanting NO PART of Dan Ryan, immediately goes after Lindsay Troy as Solex and Jiles attack the big man.
Sutler and Troy immediately spill outside where they land close to where Fuse is still lying knocked out from the egg shot earlier in the match. Sutler looks at Conor and immediately forgets all things Lindsay Troy but she heads Sutler off and the two begin to brawl before Sutler can get to Conor.
Back in the ring Jiles and Solex (Kutter?) begin to finally gain the upper hand on Ryan as the numbers are just too much and finally in the BA’s favor.
Ryan goes for a desperation right hand but Solex ducks it and nails Ryan with his Solexcution stunner move and as the big man bounces backwards he bounces off the ropes and as he does Jiles nails him with his superkick finisher.
Benny Newell: TERMINAL CANCER!!!!!!
The force of the kick sends Ryan back into the ropes and once again he bounces off and this time he eats ANOTHER superkick and he finally goes down.
Jiles makes the cover as Hortega counts and Solex watches for any interference…
UNO……
DOS…………..
TRES!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bryan McAvay: Dan Ryan has been eliminated by Cancer Jiles!!!
Benny Newell: YES!!!! The World Champion pins the disgusting human that is Dan Ryan!!!
Troy, who is outside still brawling with Sutler looks up to see Ryan being helped outside the cell and she is in shock.
Sutler jumps on that distraction and tosses Troy head first into the steel ring post. As she falls to the arena floor we see Sutler focus his attention on Conor.
The HOV suddenly and finally hits all zeros and we see next person to enter the match….
DARIN FUCKING ZION!!!!!
Zion begins sprinting down the entrance ramp and hits the cell door just as its opened by the crewmen and he immediately heads over to ring #2 where Solex and Jiles have just teamed up to eliminate Dan Ryan.
Zion slides into the ring and jumps to his feet and ducks under a clothesline attempt from Solex and bounces off the ropes and ducks under ANOTHER clothesline attempt by Solex and he clotheslines Jiles and sends the man over the top rope and to the outside.
Zion turns back towards Solex and sees the man charging him. Zion charges at him and spins and nails Solex with his discus clothesline move.
Joe Hoffman: BAN HAMMER!!!!
Zion covers Solex….
UNO………..
DOS……………….
TRES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bryan McAvay: STEVE SOLEX HAS BEEN ELIMINATED BY DARIN FUCKING ZION!!!!!!!
The literal world stops as everyone looks to see Zion pinning Solex in Ring #2.
Pleasant in Ring #1 stares over and is smiling from ear to ear.
Sutler stops mere a few feet away from Conor as he sees Solex getting pinned.
Joe Hoffman: Wow…..Zion with the quick elimination mere ……oh my god!!!!
Back in Ring #1 we see Steve Harrison nailing Pleasant with a low blow from behind. He quickly rolls the man up….
Benny Newell: I FORGOT HARRISON WAS EVEN IN THIS FUCKING MATCH!!!!!!
1……………………
2…………………………
3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bryan McAvay: Arthur Pleasant has been eliminated by Steve Harrison!!!!!!
Everyone now looks at the HOV and see that the clock is still running slow as there are still three minutes before the final entrant can enter the match.
We get an overhead shot over the War games cell and we see in Ring #1 Jace sliding into the ring to join Harrison while Palmer and McAvay slide in from the opposite side.
In Ring #2 we see Zion standing tall as outside the ring we see Troy once again brawling with Sutler who missed his chance at Conor with the distraction of the Zion pinfall elimination of Solex. On other side of Ring #2 we see Sektor leaning against the cell wall with Jiles as the two men gather themselves.
Joe Hoffman: We need Zeb Martin to enter….what is going on with this clock???
Benny Newell: Maybe the clock is on a 48 hour rule with the rest of the motherfuckers that will have and will continue to complain after tonight…..too soon?
Joe Hoffman: Assault.
Finally we see the HOV hit all zeros and Zeb Martin, the last entrant of this years War Games, enter the match.
As Martin makes his way down to the ring Jiles and Sektor spring into action and slide into the ring after Zion.
Zion turns and has no time to deliver any right hands as Jiles immediately lands a superkick to the man just as he turns.
Zion goes down in a heap as Sektor immediately covers.
UNO……..
Troy looks up and quickly slides into the ring and breaks up the count before Jiles can stop her.
Jiles pulls Troy up by the hair and immediately tosses her over the ropes separating the two rings and she lands face first in the middle of Ring #1.
Harrison turns towards the sound as he delivers a back elbow to Palmer in the far turnbuckle.
In the opposite turnbuckle Jace does the same but he does not deliver a blow to McAvay.
Instead he turns and runs towards LT….
Benny Newell: BEND THE KNEE….BEND THE FUCKING KNEE!!!!!
Jace delivers his curb stomp finisher to Troy and quickly covers as Boettcher begins counting…
1……………………
2………………………..
McAvay dives…….
3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bryan McAvay: Lindsay Troy has been eliminated by Jace Parker Davidson!!!!!!
Back in Ring #2 we see Sektor leaning back hard with his Sektor Stretch finisher on Darin Zion.
Joe Hoffman: Zion in trouble here after eating Jiles finisher he is now locked in Sektors submission finisher!!!!!
Benny Newell: STRETCH THAT ANNOYING FUCKER WHO WILL PROBABLY TELL SEKTOR HE DID A GOOD JOB AFTER HE SUBMITS!!!!!
Only part of that is true however as Hortega signals for the bell as Zion is unable to hold on any longer as he taps out just as we see Zeb Martin sprinting outside of Ring #2.
Bryan McAvay: DARIN FUCKING ZION HAS BEEN ELIMINATED BY JOHN SEKTOR!!!!!
Martin slides into Ring #2 and clotheslines Jiles down to the mat. He does the same to Sektor.
Both men jump up a second time and both go down again with clotheslines. Sektor quickly rolls out of the ring but Jiles jumps back up and goes for a desperation superkick but Zeb quickly side steps it and kicks Jiles in the gut and places his head between his legs…..hooks Jiles arms behind him on his own back…..and lifts him up……..
Joe Hoffman: HOOOK LINE AND SIIIINNNKKKKKERRRR!!!!!!
Zeb plants Jiles headfirst with his piledriver finisher and rolls the man over and covers.
UNO……..
DOS……….
Sektor slides back into the ring and dives at the pinfall attempt…
TRES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sektor nails Zeb in the back of the head but its too late.
The World Champion has been eliminated!!!!!
Bryan McAvay: Cool Jiles has been eliminated by Zeb Martin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Benny Newell: NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
Joe Hoffman: We will have a NEW WORLD CHAMPION!!!!!!!!!!
Crewmen and Medics are inside the War Games cell clearing the structure of all the bodies that have been eliminated.
Inside Ring #2 Sektor grabs Zeb and tosses him over the top rope in clear frustration seeing Jiles being eliminated.
Jiles lands right next to Sutler who once again was mere feet away from Conor Fuse who is now stirring.
Sutler, pissed that once again hes been distracted, immediately goes in on Martin and tosses the man back into the ring.
Sutler slides into the ring and Sektor pulls Martin up to his feet and the two men execute a perfect double team Russian leg sweep.
Sutler jumps to his feet and rushes over to the turnbuckle as Sektor locks in his Sektor Stretch once again.
Hortega checks to see if Zeb is going to quit but the man refuses. He begins to fade however but suddenly Sektor releases the hold as he sees Sutler jump from the top turnbuckle…..
Joe Hoffman: SUPER SPLASH FROM SUTLER!!!???? HE JUST STOLE FUSE’S MOVE!!!!
Benny Newell: HR knows all the cheat codes!!!
Sutler rolls Zeb over and makes the cover and hooks the leg. As he does he locks eyes with Conor who just got to his feet just in time to see the move land.
UNO……….
Conor slides into the ring…..
DOS………………………
Sektor clotheslines Fuse back over the top rope and out of the ring…..
TRES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bryan McAvay: Zeb Martin has been eliminated by Sutler Kael!!!!!!!!!
Back in Ring #1 we see Harrison and Jace looking over into the other ring shocked at what just happened.
Benny Newell: LOOK OUT!!!!!!
McAvay and Palmer are standing behind the two men and as Jace and Harrison turn they already know whats coming……Palmer nails Harrison with a right hand whips him into the far turnbuckle.
McAvay has a different idea however…….
Joe Hoffman: FIREBALL!!!!!! FIREBALL!!!!!!
Benny Newell: ILLEGAL….FUCKING ILLEGAL!!!!!
McAvay nails JPD with an old school MVW type of fireball to the face temporarily blinding Jace.
Joe Hoffman: McGILL BOMB!!!!
McAvay covers as Palmer holds off Harrison in the far corner….
1…………………..
2………………………………….
3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bryan McAvay: JPD has been eliminated by Ray McAvay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As McAvay secures the three count we see Palmer lift Harrison up, spin towards the center of the ring, and nail him with his UnscripTED finisher.
Palmer covers Harrison…..
1……………………….
2………………………………………..
KICKOUT BY HARRISON!!!!!!!
Palmer is shocked as Harrison just kicked out of his finisher…..complete and utter shock.
Suddenly we see Palmer roll out of the way as a figure comes out of nowhere and lands on Harrison.
Joe Hoffman: SUPER SPLASH FROM FUSE!!!!! HE WAS NOT GOING TO LET SUTLER OUTDO HIM ON HIS OWN MOVE!!!!!!
Fuse covers Harrison as Palmer jumps back up to his feet and he and McAvay watch as Sektor and Kael look on from Ring # 2.
1………………………
2………………………
3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bryan McAvay: Steve Harrison has been eliminated by Conor Fuse!!!!!!!!!
Fuse is helped to his feet by Palmer and McAvay and we see Conor’s head is caked with dried blood and has the look of someone that the old Carolina territories.
The three men from 214 stare over into the opposite ring at Sektor and Sutler as the crowd begins clapping their appreciation.
Joe Hoffman: Well here we go folks. One of these five men will be crowned the new World Champion and right now one has to be concerned with the amount of time Palmer has been in this match.
Benny Newell: What about fucking Sektor? The MACHINE has been going nonstop since he had to watch his Hall of Famer Jatt Starr get murdered!!?? Disgusting Dirty Dan, Triple D if you will, sure as fuck is a walking hypocrite.
Joe Hoffman: What about Conor Fuse? He has been in this match just as long as Sektor?
Benny Newell: Please….that fuckstick took a nap for over an hour like he was Scottie Pippen with a fucking migraine. That numnut is fresher than everyone else in the match!!
Joe can only shake his head at Benny’s assessment of the men in the match so far and all focus returns into the cell as we see the 214 team chatting.
Joe Hoffman: It is clear here that the 214 folks are trying to make sure they have a strategy here moving forward. They have the advantage. There are no more entrants. This is it. Three on Two.
Benny Newell: Always cheating those union fucks. Always.
Grapplers Local 214 break their pseudo huddle and Fuse and McAvay begin walking forward towards Ring #2.
Sektor and Sutler share a quick glance and both nod their heads.
Benny Newell: Look at that pussy Palmer staying behind in the ring!!?
Palmer goes down to one knee and his holding his ribs as he is clearly in pain as he watches McAvay and Fuse enter the other ring.
Sutler motions to Sektor that he wants Fuse and Sektor nods in agreement but as soon Fuse and Palmer step thru the ropes Sektor rushes forward and nails Fuse with a knee to the side of the head.
Sutler, not at all happy with that, charges nonetheless at McAvay but Ray is ready and meets the younger wrestler with a right hand. The two continue to exchange right hands as Sektor can be seen stomping away at the head of Fuse who is desperately trying to cover up.
Joe Hoffman: The so called MACHINE of HOW saw a weakened Fuse and is targeting who is surely a concussed man.
Benny Newell: Hey they have the same goal…eliminate Fuse. Teamwork Joe. That is all I fucking see.
Sektor turns one eye towards Sutler and McAvay and he sees that McAvay punched Kael to the ropes. He leans into Sutler and proceeds to whip the man into the far ropes and executes a beautiful back body drop to the man. He does not hesitate as he pulls Sutler up to his feet and promptly sends him back down with snap suplex.
Joe Hoffman: Fuse cannot keep protecting himself here and he is quite frankly lucky that Sektor is just WATCHING Kael getting taking to school by the vet here.
In fact Sektor has stopped stomping away at Fuse entirely and now watches as McAvay lifts Sutler up for his McGill Bomb.
Just as Rays vision is blocked as he has Sutler at the pinnacle of the move, Sektor rushes at the man and dropkicks the man square on his right knee, immediately buckling McAvay and causing him to fall to his knees and dropping Sutler to the canvas next to him.
McAvay tries to stand but he cannot put any pressure on his leg and he falls down again to one leg. With a smirk Sektor spins and nails McAvay with a forearm smash to the back of the mans head and then drops down with the man and locks in his Sektor Stretch.
Benny Newell: TIMING!!!!! IT WAS ALL ABOUT TIMING!!!!!!
Sutler, lying against the bottom rope, watches as Ray McAvay struggles to get out of the move. On the other side of the ring Fuse is lying flat on his back holding his head while back in Ring #1 Palmer is up to his feet…..holding his ribs…….and making his way towards the Ring #2.
As Palmer enters the Ring, McAvay looks upside at the man and waves his arm at the man.
But Palmer stops in his tracks and instead looks at Fuse who locks eyes with the man just as McAvay taps.
Bryan McVay: RAY MCAVAY HAS BEEN ELIMINATED BY JOHN SEKTOR!!!!!
Joe Hoffman: WHY DIDN’T PALMER SAVE RAY???!!!!
Palmer, still holding his ribs, leans against the ropes as he watches Hortega roll McAvay out of the ring to waiting HOW medics who just entered the match.
Benny Newell: I am getting a summer of 1996 feeling. Just saying……
Sektor stands up and smiles as he watches McAvay being walked off.
Joe Hoffman: That submission is no joke. There was no where for McAvay to go once that was locked in. His only hope was the inju—-
Suddenly Palmer springs into action and nails Sektor with a jumping knee to the side of the head forcing the man to fall into the ropes. As Sektor bounces off Palmer snatches his neck and nails Sektor with his pumphandle death valley driver finisher.
Benny Newell: THE FUCKING LIAR….HE WASN’T EVEN IN FUCKING PAIN!!!!!
Palmer covers as Hortega drops to count….
UNO……………..
Sutler pulls himself up by the top rope…..
DOS…………………………………..
Sutler begins WALKING towards the LSD Champion
TRES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bryan McAvay: JOHN SEKTOR HAS BEEN ELIMINATED BY TEDDY PALMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Benny Newell: NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! HE FUCKING CHEATED!!!!!!!!
The LSD Champion stands up and smiles and taps his forehead and looks down at Sektor who is being rolled out of the ring by Hortega.
WHACK
Sutler nails the LSD Champion from behind with a donkey punch to the back of the head.
Benny Newell: Well someone is going to be smiling watching that move on replay!!! COME ON SUTLER!!!!!
The lone remaining Best Alliance team member snatches Palmer by the back of the head and then positions him for his SOS move…….
Joe Hoffman: BOOM!!! Sutler, playing possum just as good as Palmer did, just nailed the LSD Champion with his Son of Sin move!!!
Sutler now covers the LSD Champion as we see Conor Fuse, now rolled over on his side, watching as Hortega makes the count.
UNO…….
DOS…………….
Conor reaches out towards Palmer…unable to move….
TRES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bryan McAvay: Teddy Palmer has been eliminated by Sutler Kael!!!!!!!
Joe Hoffman: Here we go Benny!!!!! It is down to just two men….CONOR FUSE AND SUTLER KAEL!!!!!!
Sutler slowly gets to his feet and turns just as we see Conor getting to his feet as well.
Joe Hoffman: These two men have YET to touch each other in this match and NOW we finally get to see which one of these men will become the NEW World Champion of High Octane Wrestling.
Flashbulbs light up the Tokyo Dome as the two men stare each other down from opposite sides of the ring.
DING
DING
Suddenly the lights go out in the Dome and the flash bulbs continue creating an almost strobe like effect.
Joe Hoffman: Welp this cannot be good!
Benny Newell: At least we didn’t promise a big bang or fail to send the folks home with a fucking smile?
Joe Hoffman: Huh?
Benny just scoffs but then stands up as the HOV comes to life and we see the face of the GOD of HOW….Lee Best.
The arena remains in darkness as the Creator begins to speak.
Lee Best: First off congrats to everyone that competed here tonight. I don’t even know what fucking time it is but I sure as fuck know this two match card feels like its been going on for two fucking days!
Lee looks to his right and the camera pans to see him looking at the 4th generation wrestler Wahl…..who has Steve Solex and Arthur Pleasant by the throats and his holding them up against the wall. Lee smirks and turns back towards the camera and the wrestlers inside the cell.
Lee Best: Look I am not here to be cute and fuck with the Wahl. I am here to say thank you. Thank you for all the time and effort over the years. Tonight we will crown a first time World Champion here in High Octane Wrestling and having seen ALL the firsts thru the years….this one is special. That is it. I just wanted to say thanks.
Lee pauses and just as the feed goes black the GOD of HOW raises his hand and decides to share a final thought.
Lee Best: One last thing………we all know what the winner is about to get here……and we all know how they need to get the win….pinfall or submission……but you know what….fuck it. Let’s burn this fucker down. Let’s end it properly. Lift that fucking cell. The FINAL fall will now be decided with a falls count anywhere stipulation. Yep that’s right. Go fucking nuts boys.
With that the feed goes to black and the lights come back on and the huge War Games cell slowly raises up.
Joe Hoffman: You know Lee could have just told the guys to exit thru the door?
Benny Newell: Where is the fucking pageantry in that? Plus this way NO ONE can use the cell anymore as a weapon. Let’s see what chaos ensues. DUH JOE!!!!
Joe nods his head in approval and back in Ring #2 Sutler and Conor both watch as the cell reaches the top of the dome.
They then slowly look at each other and both give an almost silent nod to each other.
Benny Newell: To the fucking death!!! LETS FUCKING GO!!!
Sutler and Conor charge each other and the two men begin exchanging feverish right hands and the often reserved and respectful Japanese fans stand and begin clapping as the sold out Tokyo Dome is the loudest it has been all night to finally see these two men go at it.
Joe Hoffman: HERE WE GO BENNY!!!!
Benny Newell: Slow your roll there Joe. Don’t blow your wad already!! You already know this is going to go another thirty minutes. I mean for fucks sake I am NOT paid by the hour. This shit needs to fucking end.
Joe Hoffman: Maybe it will just go to all black huh? Would you prefer that over a COMPETITION???
Benny Newell: Huh. I don’t hate that idea. Or maybe a giant troll will show up and consume the whole building and the whole company?
The camera captures Benny turning to his left and we see an 8×12 framed picture of the 4th Wahl.
Joe Hoffman: Lee would never allow it. There will be a winner and it will be bring all the positivity to all the social media streams and dirt sheets.
Benny Newell: Maybe it would get fuckers to….ah never mind.
Back in the ring it is clear the two men have hit their fourth (?) wind and continue to unload on each other.
Finally Sutler gains the upper advantage with an open palm strike to the side of the neck of Fuse. The 214 team member falls to a knee as he gasps for air. Sutler does not relent however as he jumps up and nails Conor in the head with a rising knee strike.
Joe Hoffman: I am not sure if Conor is going to be able to go a day without having a headache after this match. Jesus.
Benny Newell: The SON OF GOD has nothing to do with this match. Pretty sure he already halfway to Florida looking for a plot of land to retire.
Joe Hoffman: Will you stop it….
Benny Newell: Settle down Gorilla.
Joe Hoffman: Huh??
Back in the ring Sutler quickly grabs the arm of Conor and immediately tries to lock in his triangle choke submission move.
Conor struggles mightily trying to block the hold but Sutler is relentless….and finally fully locks in the triangle choke.
Joe Hoffman: What a great move here by Sutler. After all the punishment Conor has taken to his head tonight…it will not be long now!!!!
Conor is struggling and the more he struggles the more energy he expels.
Sutler squeezes with all his might as Conor’s resistance begins to give way. The back and forth has caused the men to spin on the canvas and as they turn a final quarter turn we see the HOV come to life and the image on the screen causes Sutler to immediately release the hold and he stumbles back towards the ropes. He begins to shake his head violently as he looks up again. The image does not change however.
Smiling down at the ring is none other than Maximillian Kael……but the eyes and smile tell us its not just Max…….
Joe Hoffman: WHAT THE FUCK??
Benny Newell: JOE!!!!!!!!!!!
The face on the screen begins to melt and as it melts away we see the image of High Octane Hall of Famer…..Shane Reynolds.
Shane smiles and suddenly the HOV goes back to black……but the crowd gasps as a figure makes his way out from the back and stands on top of the entrance ramp.
Benny Newell: Kinda hoping that is one of Dan’s 233093209 daughters. Would defo track.
Joe Hoffman: What is going on here…..Come on….after ALL of this its going to come down to this??? I am frankly tired of this. Cant the men just compete one on one? We just had a helluva match and now
Benny slaps Joe hard across the face.
Benny Newell: Snap out of it man. Do your job!
Joe Hoffman: You are right. I apologize.
Benny Newell: Look…..someone is trolling Kael here……I mean its obvious that this is what it means…..
WHACK
WHACK
Sutler falls to the side as a steel chair hits him from behind. He slumps forward and writhes in pain as he holds the back of his head.
The figure up on the entrance ramp slowly turns and walks away as the camera quickly turns to see who just nailed Sutler with the steel chair.
Shane Reynolds.
Benny Newell: WHY??????????????????????????????????????????
Shane drops the steel chair and turns towards the crowd and climbs over the guard rail and never turns back around as we see Conor slowly crawling towards Sutler.
Conor slumps his arm over the chest of Sutler as Hortega makes the count.
UNO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
TRES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bryan McVay: WINNER OF THE MATCH AND NEEEEWWWWWW WORLD CHAMPION……CONOR FUUUUUSSSEEEEEE!!!!!!
The cameras pan towards the crowd and we see Shane pause, only for a second, but then continues walking forward.
Suddenly Matt Boettcher comes screaming from Ring #1 and yells at Hortega that Sutler had a hand on the ropes.
The two referees begin to argue and the HOV comes to life and sure as all hell we see Sutler reach the ropes just before Hortega hits the three.
Hortega nods his head in agreement and waves off the decision.
Bryan Mcvay: CORRECTION……SUTLER HAD HIS HAND ON THE ROPES….THE MATCH CONTINUES!!!!
Joe Hoffman: Be still my beating heart!!!!
Benny Newell: Unbelievable. That is why we have two refs. Holy shit.
Back in the ring Conor rolls over to his side and both men are completely spent as both slowly roll away from each other……and both trying to get their wits about them.
Joe Hoffman: Unbelievable turn of events. How in the hell did this just happen? We continue on folks….we continue on!!!
Back in the ring Sutler and Conor can be seen using the ropes to climb back to their feet.
Joe Hoffman: Well one would be hard pressed to see Sutler lose this match now after surviving that attack…..
Benny Newell: Jesus Spoilers Joe……the movie isn’t over!!
Joe waves off Benny as once again inside the ring the men start walking towards each other and once again they raise their fists to begin delivering punches.
But this time there is no back and forth as Sutler drops down and ducks the first punch and immediately punches Conor right in the groin. Fuse drops to a knee an Sutler grabs him by the face and begins biting at the man’s nose.
Joe Hoffman: SUTLER HAS GONE INTO A BLIND AND SAVAGERY RAGE!!!
Benny Newell: Helluva strat there Cotton.
Conor’s nose begins to bleed as Sutler then scratches at the eyes of Fuse.
Kael then grabs Conor by the back of the head and nails the man with a devastating DDT.
Sutler spits blood, probably Conor’s, at the downed man and slowly walks over to the turnbuckle and climbs to the top.
The flashbulbs light up the Dome as Sutler once again jumps off and STEALS Conor’s SUPER SPLASH 450 finisher.
He nails it perfectly and covers Fuse.
Boettcher, still in this ring and the senior of the two refs, drops down and makes the count.
1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Conor reaches for the ropes but Sutler grabs his arm
2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Conor reaches out with his leg for the rope but Sutler hooks both legs and violently pulls up on them
3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bryan McVay: WINNER OF THE MATCH AND NEEEEWWWWW WORLD CHAMPION…….SUTLER KAEEELLLLL!!!!
Joe Hoffman: Are we sure? ARE WE FREAKING SURE????
Sutler looks up at Boettcher who is pointing at him and smiling and nodding his head yes.
Sutler puts his head in his arms and falls back on his back as confetti shoots from the rafters.
NO!!!!
NO!!!!
Hortega comes rushing in and finally gets the attention of Boettcher. He begins screaming at the senior referee. Suddenly the HOV comes to life and we see that when Sutler pulled the legs of Fuse violently he actually rolled thru and Fuse’s shoulder is up off the mat before the three count.
Boettcher, frustrated and disappointed in himself, waves the decision off. He swipes at the confetti falling and tells Sutler that Fuse had the shoulder up.
Sutler jumps to his feet and nails Boettcher with a right hand.
The referee goes down in a heap.
Joe Hoffman: HE HAD THE SHOULDER UP….HE HAD THE SHOULDER UP!!!
Benny Newell: MOTHERFUCKER!!!! MOTHERFUCKING FUCK. SOMEONE GIVE ME SOMEONE TO FUCKING PUNCH. WHERE IS THAT ASSHOLE PLEASANT AT?? STILL TRYING TO GO THRU THE FUCKING FOURTH WAHL!!!? HOW ABOUT THAT FANCY BOY FROM SCOTLAND????
Joe Hoffman: We continue on…..we continue on folks.
Sutler looks down at Boettcher and is beyond PISSED at the false finish and he kicks madly at the confetti building up in the ring.
As he turns back towards Conor he is met with a kick to the gut and Conor nails him with a desperation tilt a whirl DDT…..planting Sutler into the canvas.
Joe Hoffman: PWN’D!!!!! CONOR CALLS THAT PWN’D!!!! NO IDEA IF I AM SAYING IT RIGHT BUT I AM SURE SOMEONE ON THE INTERWEBS WILL SPELL IT FOR ME!!!!
Now it is Conor who climbs up to the top rope and he looks down at Sutler and the flash bulbs go off as Conor jumps off the turnbuckle and nails a flawless SUPER SPLAS 450.
Fuse lands perfectly on Sutler and Hortega gets into position.
Joe Hoffman: OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!! IT IS OVER NOW!!!! IT IS OVER!!!!
Without even lifting his head Sutler is seen staring up at the lights and his face begins to turn red…….97red if you will.
Finally the sound of the bell makes it official.
Truly official.
Bryan McVay: WINNER OF THE MATCH VIA SUBMISSION……AND NEW WORLD CHAMPION…….SUTLER KAEEEELLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The crowd is going crazy as we see a replay, courtesy of HOTv, of Fuse landing on Kael with his finisher but then Sutler, who was prepared for the move, drape his leg around the neck of Fuse and locking in his Sutler Method finisher……for the final time of the night.
The feed shows Fuse tapping in slow motion as the man just could not take anymore punishment.
Back live we see Hortega place the World Championship belt on the body of Sutler and we get a final overhead shot of the two men lying in the middle of the ring.
