End of the Line

HOW’s intrepid backstage reporter Blaire Moise caught up with Joe Bergman when he arrived back at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport yesterday afternoon.

Bergman was in good spirits following War Games and confirmed to Blaire that he’s wrestled his final match in HOW telling her he was ready to move on to the ‘next stage of his life.’

In a deal announced earlier today by MVW, Joe and Laura Bergman have purchased a 25% stake in Missouri Valley Wrestling.  Joe will be returning full-time to Bergman’s Barn while Laura begins her new job as MVW’s Chief Business Officer on June 1st.   Laura is also expecting the couple’s second child.

Before Joe drove away from the airport with his wife and their daughter Olivia, he took the time to thank Lee Best for taking a chance on him back in 2019 and giving him the opportunity to wrestle for one of the top wrestling companies in the world.

Of course, Bergman has one final match before he hangs up his boots- he returns to Mexico City on June 11th to face PRIME’s Sage Pontiff at the PWA 2 show.

Also returning to Chicago yesterday was Bergman’s valet Sunny O’Callahan.  Blaire asked Sunny about her future plans.  She stated she had some irons in the fire but did not know when she would be returning to HOW.  O’Callahan will be keeping busy though.  She also manages all three members of the Alabama Gang (‘Redneck’ Bill Dickinson, R.G. Jenkins, and Mark Hendry) in MVW.
