April Wrestler of the Month

“What a difference a year can make…”

That was Teddy Palmer’s initial reaction when HOWrestling.com reached out to inform him that he had been named Wrestler of the Month for April.

Last April, Palmer was in the midst of a losing streak that culminated with an injury that shelved him for the remainder of 2020. Fast forward and Palmer has gone undefeated since the beginning of spring, capturing the High Octane Gold in back to back weeks.

At Refueled 58, Palmer defeated Jatt Starr in a Falls Count Anywhere Match to capture the HOW LSD Championship, his first title in the company. The following week at Refueled 59, he teamed with fellow Grapplers Local 214 cofounder Lindsay Troy to dethrone StarrSek Industries for the HOW Tag Team Championships in a spirited contest.

“It’s nice to receive recognition for my hard work, but more importantly, I’m just trying to lead by example. We’re in the middle of a war with The Best Alliance, and we can’t afford to be handing over momentum heading into War Games. The battle lines have been drawn and I’m going to continue to do what I’ve set out to do, week in and week out. This is just the beginning for me.”
