With all the recent trips down memory lane for those involved with High Octane Wrestling from 2002-2016, it was only a matter of time before we started hearing from some of the older names and what became of them after HOW. Well we have our first update and its a happy (?) one as a man that several thought died over ten years ago is confirmed to be alive. Please see below for a quick statement that was sent over to HOWrestling.com:
The rumours are not true; Jonny O’Dell did not die. The news gained traction late last year when wrestling fan groups circulated the news that ‘The Fabulous One’ had indeed passed away. Furthermore, a group of online trolls even compiled a two hour looped ‘tribute’ video of Jonny O’Dell’s classic matches. Or, in Jonny’s case… classic jobs (‘Leave The Memories Alone’ as background music). Also, shitting himself in an Indy match back in 2008 was a real career highlight.
Jonny O’Dell, 56, renowned for his flamboyance – refused to comment. He has previously expressed in a shoot interview back in 2011 that he wishes to live the rest of his life away from the cameras. Granted, that was after he had a bizarre drunken twenty minute tirade aimed at Helen Mirren.
Fabulous, O’Dell. FABULOUS
Its good to hear that Jonny is at least alive….albeit not in the best of shapes. What other former High Octane Wrestlers will we hear from as the old memories continue to be stirred up.
